Schiff: Trump may face ‘real prospect of jail time’

https://thehill.com/homenews/sunday...iff-trump-may-face-real-prospect-of-jail-time

Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) on Sunday said that President Trump might "face the real prospect of jail time" after prosecutors indicated last week that he directed illegal payments during his 2016 presidential campaign.

"There’s a very real prospect that on the day Donald Trump leaves office, the Justice Department may indict him. That he may be the first president in quite some time to face the real prospect of jail time," he said on CBS's "Face the Nation."
========================================
Don't do the crime if you don't want to do the time.

California has their own problems. Shouldn't Schiff be focused on helping the people he represents instead of worrying about Trump?

These are the payments that a couple of months ago never happened, right? Now they were just a personal transaction, even thou they never happened, right? what are the partisan credentials of these "experts"?

The manner of their revelation doesn't matter if they're personal, private transactions. The experts are former attorneys for the FEC. It's enlightening to read a wide variety of opinions on such matters. Could Trump be in trouble? Yes, but probably not over this matter, SDNY not withstanding.

One big problem, Nixon tried to cover it up. Right now, they have no evidence that Trump did anything wrong.
Obstruction.
Now apparently campaign finance.
He has tried to cover it all up since day one, what are you talking about?

The more I think about this, the more I see this hurting the Democrats. Are they going to try to impeach a President that is running for reelection, basically telling the American people that they don't care what they think, and the Democrats want to take the choice away from the people?
Choice to have a criminal in the White House? Be serious.
If Trump is impeached, it's because he chose to break the law and try to hide it.
If the Senate removes him, it will be because Senate Republicans agreed he needs to be removed.

Because Californians aren't Americans and are not part of the United States, which is led by Donald Trump?

Not odd. In your opinion.

Most of what I've seen some call 'evidence' it little more than guilt by innuendo.

Right now we've got Cohen paying off 2 women with hush money, and some Dems are claiming campaign finance violations on Trump. There's a missing step or two there.

We'll see if Trump's claims of innocence end up being true.

It's only missing if you are not willing to see Trump for what he truly is. A sad pathetic angry old man who is willing to break the law for his own personal gain.

I know this to be true. Everyone but his supporters know this to be true. It wasn't too long ago when people were debating the very existence of said payments. Once all the evidence comes out, even you will change the color of your spots.

hyperbole is another word for lying... You have not proven that schiff has lied more than Trump and you can't prove it so you type five useless unconnected lines of thought instead.

"hyperbole is another word for lying"

No, it's not.
Hyperbole has it's own definition, in fact.

hy·per·bo·le/hīˈpərbəlē/

I know what I've seen of him from the 2016 election cycle as well as the one before it.

That'd be one great big in your opinion. OK. opinions are like assholes, everyone has one.
I know this to be true.
You think you do, but you really don't.

Let more factually based evidence come up, I'll examine it and revise my position based on new information.

Many people, I assume, hope that the distinguished, brilliant, and hot-looking gentleman from California is correct in his prediction.

Those people are no doubt so excited at the prospect of seeing Donald J. Trump do the perp walk that they are ordering new supplies of incontinence underclothing.
