What happened to doing that?look after orphans and widows in their distress
We still do when anti-religion bigots get out of our hair. What happened to doing that?
Most catholics do.What happened to doing that?
Not so you'd notice, no.We still do when anti-religion bigots get out of our hair.

I.e. "God did it." That's religion in a nutshell.Religion simplified: things exist, therefore God created them.
“It is more blessed to give than to receive.”
Spoken in the Episcopalian Church of my youth, just before they passed the plate.
Straw man argument.
When was the last time a religious person said they could fly?
The claim from confucious is a claim. It might be history, but it is not really proven. On the other hand, it is plausible, because we can get people who have 1000 apprentices if we want.Atheism simplified:
"Confucius had more than a thousand apprentices". It's history.
"The Jews met with God". It's not true.
OTOH, many have proven that submitting to God's guidance is the best way to live...but it is not really proven.
Where have they 'proven' that?OTOH, many have proven that submitting to God's guidance is the best way to live...
So, you've never read the Bible, even the Hebrew Scriptures/OT...got it...Where have they 'proven' that?
OTOH, many have proven that submitting to God's guidance is the best way to live...
I am not talking about those who serve God in name only but the ones who live it daily...No they haven't. They just claim it to be so
And religious institutions and communities are hotbeds of abuse
Atheists form a small minority of the prison population Btw - so much for "guidance" huh ?
