ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin called President Barack Obama's health plan "downright evil" Friday in her first online comments since leaving office, saying in a Facebook posting that he would create a "death panel" that would deny care to the neediest Americans.
"The America I know and love is not one in which my parents or my baby with Down Syndrome will have to stand in front of Obama's 'death panel' so his bureaucrats can decide, based on a subjective judgment of their 'level of productivity in society,' whether they are worthy of health care," the former Republican vice presidential candidate wrote.
"Such a system is downright evil," Palin wrote on her page, which has nearly 700,000 supporters. She encouraged her supporters to be engaged in the debate.

Palin says Obama's health care plan is 'evil'
"All of 'em, any of 'em that have been in front of me over all these years." --Sarah Palin, unable to name a single newspaper or magazine she reads, interview with Katie Couric, CBS News, Oct. 1, 2008
I doubt she will run in 2112...:mrgreen:Palin is politically dead. having said that I look forward to her 2112 run where she will split what is left of the Republican party and set them to fighting tooth and nail among themselves.
Hey, she's a healthy gal, she might make it!I doubt she will run in 2112...

She has created such fear in the hearts and minds of Liberals it's a wonderful thing.
Amazingly enough, many other countries have managed to build government healthcare plans that don't result in the complete breakdown of society. Does Palin have so little faith in America that she doesn't believe we can at least match the Europeans?
The death panels exist today when your private insurer decides not to cover you. In fact, some people don't even make it to the death panel because they have no coverage to start with.
It is good to know that you have found humor.
The only fear she has generated is in the minds of the people who follow her. As far as liberals are concerned they think she is funniest person to come along in years and every time she gets near a microphone she makes even more of a caricature of her self.
wtf? What does she mean by that? Under UHC everyone is worthy of health care. That's the whole point of UHC.
I guess she thinks it's much better to stand in front of an insurance company's "death panel", then. Yay, status quo.

I'm pretty sure she's talking about the very old. Is a 90 year old worthy of a new hip? There's been talk about that. That we spend 25% of costs in the last year.
Care to show us exactly where in the bill that it gauruntees healthcare to everyone? Betcha can't find it.
Betcha cannot find where the bill calls for "death panels" either.
I do not think Palin realizes just how amusing she is. The idea that liberals are afraid of her is even more amusing.
Maybe not now, but when John "One heart attack away" McCain was running for president, you guys were scared. You can't deny that.
Actually my reaction was somewhat different from that. I was actually excited when McCain announced Palin, thinking it might be an interesting election after all. Palin was great, right up till she started talking.
So was my wife. :2razz:
