Honestly, I hope O'Donnell does stick around. In a "pinata" sorta way. She's even more airheaded than Palin, if that is at all possible. I totally understand why the more serious GOP figures are trying to distance her from the party.

Myself, although I really haven't heard anything from her I agree with, per se, I think she is cute and kinda refreshing in an innocent, bubblehead, sorta way.

I wonder how many votes this will cost her?

Scott Brown won in Massachussets by being upfront with voters about the Increased federal spending. People see now the issue is, Scott Brown, more aptly citizen legislaters who want to get things done. Thats the problem he went to washington to make it work. People are clamouring to get a politician who will go to washington and get them back to work. The nations political machine and its elected lap dogs are simply doing what gets them the most political capital. Thats why- Obama Got in partly-We wanted real change. The teaparty is grass roots so far it hasnt became A submissive partner to the Dominate advances of the GOP. I think people are nervous - They are trying to force change by voting against the incumbent . The two party system IS failing to meet the demands of an ever changing world- we are soverign- yet the politics of expanding the," status of Imperal Rule( political class) in America" has it passing laws that are counter to the culture of the nation. They cant fix Immigration because they need the contribution it has to offer to its members, Money, Hot button issues at election time- voters that they can manipulate. I remember when the tea party was so fragmented and using conservative republicans- Now the candidates in the teaparty movement are starting to act like a third party," unbiased for Identity politics".

Some lost but some gained is also possible. When Maddow played it on MSNBC and was laughing her ass off, it made Rachel look like a jerk, and O'Donnell a nice wholesome God loving Christian. People may be getting tired of Christianity being the butt of jokes. They may not kill you for it, but it may be enough to get them to the polls in Nov.
I think O'Donnell should run it herself and say "look what they're showing all over the internet and cable news to attack me. I guess they couldn't find the porn film of me."

Uh-huh. Which is why when they had 60 votes in the senate, all of them full fledged communists and socialists, they passed a rabidly partisan healthcare bill based around a single payer system... er... public option... er.... a watered down rework of what republicans proposed in the 90's...

That's right, a congress full of socialists and the best they could do is pass a rehashed version of a republican proposal.

You're argument is more of a convoluted rant then anything else.

ROTFLOL... that is a gut splitter my friend. You walked into that one face first.

That they passed any Socialist healthcare program illustrates they are shades of socialists, and doing it without reading the bill smacks of the Duma, not the US Congress.

Methinks she just had her 15 mintes of fame. By this time next week, more than likely, we'll hardly hear of her again.

We'll see.

She's in the national spotlight now. Has raised over a million in what, a little more than a day.
No, I think her fame will last more than 15min, and that 11-point spread can change quick.

Mike Castle's post election behavior, what at first seemed like it would hurt her, is now so overboard and petty that he's nullified himself. He's proven to be the wrong choice; petty, bitter, and exactly what folks said he was... a RINO.

If you thought Maddow was bad, wait until Bill Maher's show tonight. I really can't wait  I imagine I'm going to be laughing my ass off.

Sorry, I'll miss it. I don't get HBO. Oh well, I imagine MSNBC will play a clip. I'll catch it then.

Here's your problem, you view all democrats as the same. And even worse you think other people do as well.

sort of like many on this board thinking everyone in the top 1% of taxpayers are robber-barons

its great that Maher is identified with the left

its hard to think of a more arrogant elitist than that ass and unlike COulter who was phi beta kappa at cornell, that schmuck wasn't exactly setting the curve there.

top 1% of taxpayers are robber-barons ≠ top 1% of tax payers can afford a small tax increase

No fair bringing reality into this discussion. If we don't simply portray those we disagree with as something horrible, however could we debate?

Having people buying insurance from private insurance firms is not socialist no matter how you spin it.

LOL... nice try.

They force people to buy something they can do without or be self insured... that's socialist, and wait... they've opened the door for something bigger and better; it's how the socialists operate.

It ain't "having" it's forcing. I don't recall the Constitution giving that authority to force the public to buy something.

Do youz guyz?

And BTW... O'Donnell was tied with Coons 1 month ago... before the R establishment started crapping on her. That difference can be made up in 6 weeks, just as she did with Castle.

I don't think people can gauge the level of pissedoffedness at the moment... and the folks on the right's desire to get out and vote. We don't see that on the left. We hope you continue with Carter Disease until Nov. 3.

Christine is a major cutie and it would be kind of comical to see her lose to a guy named ‘coons.’

Fail. Forcing people to buy something from private insurers is not Socialist. Socialism would be mandating people to buy something from a government run organization. Furthermore, you do not have to buy insurance. You can simply pay a fine and not buy insurance. Furthermore, you ignore that's how ALL things operate. You get your foot in the door and then add more. Same how the GOP basically stripped out financial regulation. Same how the Democrats expanded Medicare. The problem with you is that you are so unbelievably over the top partisan you ignore everything you don't like.

It ain't "having" it's forcing. I don't recall the Constitution giving that authority to force the public to buy something.

Ignoring what the law actually says eh? Hmm. There is a choice. You can either buy or pay a fine not to buy. Forcing would be holding you a gun point. There is an option to opt out. Is it free? No. But not exactly "forcing."

We hope you continue with Carter Disease until Nov. 3.

The funny thing is, despite your rantings, Obama is little more then Bush. So by your own argument, Bush is Carter.

Remember, people define Socialism as anything they don't like.

The military for example. Government owned. Government run. Government financed. Hmmmm. Not Socialist to many people here.

that's correct. accurately speaking it is corporatist. :)

TurtleDude said:

that is also correct. the Federal Government has no business ordering me to purchase a privately sold product.

Not full sureity, but 94% sureity...
Primaries are also a lot more volatile and unpredictable than general elections.

true. we will have to see what advantages excitement and outside support come to. O'Donnel's down in the polls - in fact, she's down about as much as Scott Brown was when Rasmussen first came out with the shock poll on him.

At least we will learn if our nation is still sane, that we "know better".
The problem is not the tea-baggers, it is those who are too lazy to vote.
A representative democracy cannot work correctly unless a good majority of the people vote.
