I became a lifelong NRA member in the 50's in order to purchase two 03 Springfields, a .22 and a 30-06. I kmow of not one of this release that was ever used in a crime. Likewise I have no knowledge of any of the more recent releases being used in a crime. The thorn up Barry's butt apparently came from the proposed sale in the US of some M-1 Garands donated used to South Korea. They were worn out obsolete weapons valued only for their history. But I guess they looked skeery.

The other EO is just as bad. It concerns the transfer of weapons to corporations and trusts. This seems to be a solution in search of a problem.

trusts were common in Hamilton County Ohio because the long time fascist sheriff-Si Lice would refuse to sign off on Class III paperwork

Actually, the new EOs DO prevent someone that might want one of those particular types of weapons from purchasing one. And the trade-off is...what exactly?

Perhaps your last line spells it best. They impact NO violent criminal. They prevent NO violent criminal act. Hence it is COMPLETELY logical that he passed it and you ate it up. Which is precisely what I said.

There are dozens of domestic companies that manufacture, retail, wholesale, rebuild and resell 'those particular type of weapon'... :roll:

The last line is there is no impact of the average citizen buying a very accurate firearm, no right to keep or bear has been infringed, you can buy 'those types of weapons' BUT-

The whiners, ranters and poo flingers have to try and turn this into a crap fest because that is about all they can/will do.

They are stating that this EO would prevent people from purchasing a particular type and style of weapon...one which might have historical value, in an act which would have absolutely ZERO impact on crime and criminals. They have mismatched parts and most at least one arsenal refurbish- no serious collector would consider these rifles 'collectables'- not even money to burn trust fund babies.

what the sheep don't understand and what the Obama slurpers dishonestly avoid is that Obama's disgusting attitude is equally hateful towards ANY lawful gun source. If the justification for the clown in chief to ban the reimport of MI Garands is because there is the remotest possibility ONE such rifle might be used in crime, the same attitude applies to any other firearm sales
