As a citizen of a constitutional democracy I reserve the right to demand you prove you are an actual law enforcement officer. And not wear a mask so I can’t identify you.

This argument is almost comical in light of the incredible lawlessness of the man carrying it out for political reasons. After all, probably thousands of laws are broken every day. If we arrest everyone who breaks a law, there might be no one left. Thus its a question of priorities - law enforcement should focus on law breakers who do us harm, not those who are productive members of the community. Tearing communities and families apart in the name of the law makes a farce of it.

The law criminalized harboring runaway slaves. Would any one of us here today claim that that law must be upheld? Lord I hope not.

Simple large fines for having undocumented workers at you farm or meat packing plant or landscaping business would quickly cause businesses to stop using their labor. No jobs, no draw to come here. Republicans oppose real ID. Guest worker programs, which would counter all your slavery claims.

For ****s sake, what percentage of agricultural operations and meat packing plants and hotels are owned by liberals/democrats? God damn I’m tired of stupid, empty headed MAGA bullshit.
