New Quota of Rounding Up 3,000 Illegals Per Day

For that matter, who is gonna sit at an assembly line for 8 hours a day for peanuts?

Very few, so the employer (job creator) would have to raise the compensation (wages and/or fringe benefits) in order to attract and retain qualified labor. These now higher paid workers will require less “safety net” program benefits and spend more on goods/services, thus benefiting the US economy.

Thoughtful analysis is clearly not a MAGA trait.

Or yours.

Is it MAGA making those "Who's gonna pick them strawberries" arguments?

I give no ****s.

And you just keep harping on what is actually an economic concern y’all are too busy revelling in the cruelty to think about as it is outside of your conditioned responses.

Sorry man. Manufacturing is mind numbing, hateful work. They are certainly not going to pay what our manufacturing base used to make adjusted for inflation. The single income support of a family level is NOT in the works for the middle class.

They gleefully sent our jobs overseas to avoid what you propose. And wages have been barely keeping up with inflation, if that, ever since.

What they’ll do is poor houses. Indenture.

So people will take the shitty survival level jobs to avoid that.

Suddenly it wasn't important whose argument it was....

😆

All y’all’s arguments were installed by algorithm.

I haven’t heard a thoughtful original response from a MAGA ever. Just programmed responses that they can’t elucidate clearly nor intelligently address counterpoints to.

Manufacturers are going to pay what it takes to attract qualified (aka legal) labor or pay tariffs on products produced offshore.

The Supreme Cort ordered Trump to get the guy back into the US.
Are they now also all rampant Anti-Trumpers?

they should pay all the court costs out of their own pockets IMO

Anything that puts a stop to Trump will SAVE the American taxpayers $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ - YAY!!!

The undocumented more than pay for themselves.

Yeah .... slave labor like McDonald's. We've already put a pin in that balloon of yours. Give it up.

Then you should have known better.

Slave .... blah .... blah .... blah .... slave .... blah .... blah .... slave .... blah .... blah .... slave ... blah .... blah .... slave .... blah .... blah .... slave .... blah .... blah .... slavish .... blah .... blah .... slave .... blah .... blah .... slave .... blah .... blah .... .... blah .... blah .... slave .... blah .... blah .... slave .... blah .... blah ....

I'm sorry - the truth is still the truth

Democrats greatly desire illegal, uneducated, unskilled workers who can be exploited, trafficked here by cartels, abused/underpaid and outside USA labor laws

Biden helped get 8-12 million or more in ..... Democrats fight hard for it (they're violent in LA right now they're so excited to fight for illegally here people)

That's your side, not mine, and your side would add 3-5 million poverty level people each year so you can have $0.79 avocado's and $1.99 strawberries and if they gotta be trafficking, illegally coming here, drugs, sex abuse, child abuse, breaking laws, all the criminals and gang members and terrorists coming in too ?

Democrats fight for that - its worth it and everything they're doing is proof

If they do NOT want all that ? Then come together with GOP, secure the border, get it to where there are no illegally here people here and get it done

But they don't, and that's the truth

This is complete bullshit.

There have always been mechanisms or options that would have solved the “problem”.

Simple large fines for having undocumented workers at you farm or meat packing plant or landscaping business would quickly cause businesses to stop using their labor. No jobs, no draw to come here. Republicans oppose real ID. Guest worker programs, which would counter all your slavery claims.

For ****s sake, what percentage of agricultural operations and meat packing plants and hotels are owned by liberals/democrats? God damn I’m tired of stupid, empty headed MAGA bullshit.

It’s all theater for the rubes.

And you are giving it a standing ovation.

what's the answer? don't leave us hanging .....

Likely the latter. There’s the spin up lag and costs of construction that make that likely. Especially as there’s also dependence on foreign raw materials that will need to be replaced with domestic, if it’s even possible. So setting up new mining operations. And finding people willing to be miners.

I’m asking y’all. It’s your position to defend. According to you it’s liberals that want illegals here to exploit. Yet from where I’m sitting it’s agribusinesses that are the biggest employers.

And those tend to be republicans. I’m sure there are democrat liberal farmers. I just doubt they’re any kind of majority. And as such bear responsibility.

You must have missed where I said fine a few businesses into bankruptcy and put a hurt on some small landscaping/construction companies and even individuals picking up laborers at Home Depot and the demand for undocumented labor will drop dramatically and if there are no jobs available they’ll stop coming.

As well as the better alternative and just develop a functional guest worker program and all of your slavery nonsense will be addressed too.

I know , your media never mentioned any of that so you have no programmed responses as to why none of those obvious things have ever been done by either side of the aisle.

There’s danger to our national security in that (bolded above) and our growing dependence on foreign labor.

If you want the US to become totally self sufficient then say goodbye to bananas and coffee for a start.

I don’t consider either of those goods (crops?) to be necessary for our national security.

I know quite a few people who would see the lack of coffee as a national emergency.

I'm one of them.

And what about the things we actually don’t have here? War?

And everything that can be shipped overseas to maximize profits has already been sent.

I like you ttwtt, always have. And I’m pretty pissed off about what is happening. So forgive me if I get to strident in my replies to you. I am frustrated because I’m hitting a wall of inability to grasp from far too many on the right. Completely unresponsive responses. Just lobbing anything they think might possibly be a rebuttal and then refusing to understand may clarification as to why it is a rebuttal.

To be clear I fully agree the country has both the right and the duty to control its borders.

My objection to what is happening right now in this country stems from the complete lack of other methods to manage the situation and the way in which they have chosen to do it.

Masked people in combat armor and no badges or any other identifying insignia in unmarked cars breaking down doors and dragging dishwashers and fry cooks to who knows where is unacceptable in a democratic republic.

Hell it’s just unacceptable. For instance I don’t think I am legally required to comply with someone who hides their face and wears no badge that arrives in an unmarked car. It’s the grownup version of talking to strangers. How long do you think it’s gonna be before some whacko does something terrible in the same getup ICE is using? It’s all readily available online. I doubt all of them will miss the obvious opportunity.

Hope that clarifies where I’m coming from. It’s not the issue, it’s the implementation. Especially when there are better, less cruel and leads threat to our democracy that have never even been tried. By either side. So I’m calling shenanigans on the whole debacle. This is a time to speak up and stand up and ask questions. Silence and hope will not stop what is coming.

Get back to me when yer picking those strawberries.

Get to it. Do your part for MAGA paradise!

All you're doing is reiterating that your argument is "Who gonna pick them strawberries?"

Some of the southern states made the same argument, pre-civil war.

You should tell them that. I don't see what it has to do with my post, though.

I know quite a few people who would see the lack of coffee as a national emergency.

It’s grown in enough different places that it’s highly unlikely to be monopolized or fall under the control of an enemy nation/cartel.

I favor congress passing a strict eVerify mandate, coupled with changes to the FIT code, allowing the IRS to act as the primary enforcement mechanism. Once the (W-2 and 1099) US employment ‘magnet’ is removed, many (if not most) ‘undocumented’ immigrants would elect to self-deport.
