This is incredibly irritating. If I don't wait 30 seconds before pressing the "New Posts" button, I get that message telling me to "wait X seconds."

That screen has now come to signal the end of my night on DP. It will not go away, I can no longer search the forums. Every time I try to search for new posts, I get the same damn message for the rest of the night. Right now, I must wait 15 seconds eternally. Is this a problem for anyone else?

I ahd the same problem.

Try to disable the adblocker for this website and see if it helps. (little arrow beside the stop sign)

This worked for me, Vague fixed it right up.

Without doing anything now, it's finally working (took about a half an hour this time, though I've waited more than an hour other nights). Next time it happens, I'll do the exact opposite of your attempts and try firefox. I'll update here...

Alright, didn't take long. Accidentally double clicked 'new posts,' so IE is out for the night. Firefox, however, works just fine.

I've no idea what the problem is or how to remedy it. Looks like I'll stick with Firefox for now.

Do you mean you get the message that you have to wait x seconds, even if it's been longer than the 3-second time out? That def sounds like something you need tech help with. Maybe you should pm vauge (the board owner). He might be able to help you get it working correctly.

Right, I can wait 45 minutes and it will still tell me I have to wait X seconds. I'll pm vauge when I'm a bit less intoxicated..

yes i have the same problem i will click on one i don't want and i have to what 30 sec just hit back and that works well enough
