Mitt Romney announcing VP selection tomorrow (Saturday), 9 ET[W:134, 926]

Re: My honest gut about the Ryan pick is ...

Romney is not getting my vote. And he has never had even a glimpse of it. I gave up on getting Obama out of office when Romney won the nomination.

That's called a, "self fulfilling prophacy".

Re: My honest gut about the Ryan pick is ...

That is fair, I made a comment on the rally where Romney picked Ryan which is the subject of this thread.....Your a newbie so I will accept your ignorance on this..........One question for you though........Why do you list your political lean as slightly Conservative when your just a closrt Liberal.

I normally welcome new conservatives to DP because we need all the help we can get getting rid of your hero Hussein Obama but sadly I will pass on you.......Have a nice day

Oh no, he just got called a liberal by a guy who calls every one a liberal, despite his own calling for nationalization of the oil industry.

Re: My honest gut about the Ryan pick is ...

this pick gave florida to Obama

Another Obamabot that buys the rhetoric and ignores the substance. Ryan's plan doesn't hurt the seniors at all and if you actually paid any attention to the budget you would know that. "Your" President is a pathelogical liar and yet people like you buy the rhetoric.

Romney was not my first choice either but the goal is to get Obama out ....... that is sad because if you don't vote for Romney its a vote for Hussein Obama.....I just hope you realize that.

Re: My honest gut about the Ryan pick is ...

The point that most folks are missing, is the increased tax revenue that will be generated by Romney's private sector friendly agenda. More people working, more people making more money, paying more taxes, etc.
Tax cuts on the wealthiest do not translate into job creation, we don't have a shortage of investment capital....we have a shortage of DEMAND.

Re: My honest gut about the Ryan pick is ...

And Ohio and Michigan merely because it does nothing to gain Romney ground in those states after saying the auto industry should just go bankrupt instead of doing the auto-bailout. That is killing him there in those states. He needed to make an overture in that area to help him... he didn't and it will hurt him there.

Personal opinion noted, but your lack of credibility trumps that opinion. The Obama record is a disaster and it is great having two adults that understand the private sector running against these two leftwing clowns.

Another Romneybot who talks in nothing but rhetoric with no substance.

Re: My honest gut about the Ryan pick is ...

Is that what "Real Americans" are doing?

Jesus, talk about Fox News Kool Aid drippings.

Just admit that you are a big central govt. economy promoting liberal and let's move on

Re: My honest gut about the Ryan pick is ...

I didn't say they did. Stop being stuck on that crap. I'm talking about creating a stable and confident environment for the private sector.

Re: My honest gut about the Ryan pick is ...

Reagan was 9 points behind Carter 90 days out from the election. That's why I take polls with a grain of salt.

What does that have to do with reporting the correct poll numbers instead of making them up?

Re: My honest gut about the Ryan pick is ...

Yes, like proposing a budget will have ALL discretionary spending reduced to less than 4% of GDP.

Even Willard is distancing himself from is own VP's budget plan.

Right, with a 16 trillion dollar debt and promoting a big central govt. economy we cannot afford four more years of Obama

Tax cuts, decreasing regulatory agencies, eliminating current banking regs, will not create a more stable business environment.....that is EXACTLY what got us in this mess in the first place.

No one is proposing to cut taxes for the rich. MAINTAINING THE CURRENT TAX RATES IS NOT A CUT. Do you ever tell the truth?

Re: My honest gut about the Ryan pick is ...

if the majority of our population engaged in retirement planning there would be no need for social security and medicare

Exactly and the problem is most people don't understand the purpose of SS which was a supplement that many now made their sole retirement. Ryan's plan not only saves the program but forces people to start saving for their own retirement. Imagine that?

how does it do that?

Re: My honest gut about the Ryan pick is ...

Because 14% of my income has gone to SS, that is a part of my retirement planning.

Just imagine what putting 14% of your income into a personal IRA would generate for you by the time you retire?

Re: My honest gut about the Ryan pick is ...

implement the simpson-Bowles plan

Why didn't Obama? While you're promoting the Simpson/Bowles commission report maybe you can provide Obama with a map to where his Job's Council is meeting since he cannot seem to find them. What other reason would there be to not meet with them with 23 million unemployed/under employed Americans?

Earlier this month, a nonpartisan group of tax experts took matters into their own hands and tried to analyze the tax plan. What would happen, they asked, if you actually made all the cuts he has proposed? That would mean extending the Bush cuts, reducing income-tax rates by an additional 20 percent, and ending capital gains taxes for the middle class, the estate tax, the alternative minimum tax and the various taxes in health care reform, including the Medicare tax increase on high incomes. The experts at the Tax Policy Center estimated that this would cost $456 billion a year, starting in 2015.

Another Obamabot who doesn't know what percentage of the budget is discretionary spending.

Re: My honest gut about the Ryan pick is ...

People born before 1958 were not born yesterday.

What is the maximum benefit a SS recipient will receive when they retire? Better find out before showing further ignorance. Nobody can live on SS as sole retirement income making the maximum
