Three Mar-a-Lago club members friendly with President Trump were reportedly given access to review a $10 billion government contract to overhaul electronic health records for veterans even though they had no prior experience in the field.
The three men, Marvel Entertainment chairman Ike Perlmutter, West Palm Beach physician Bruce Moskowitz and lawyer Marc Sherman, were given unprecedented access to confidential documents and shaped policy at the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (VA), according to emails obtained by ProPublica through a Freedom of Information Act request.

Talk about cronyism. None of these men had any experience or technology applicable to this lucrative VA contract tender. The obvious connection here is Trump & this looks like a violation of some laws.

How dare anyone but lobbyists and DC insiders have any input to public policy decisions. The horror!

You are absolutely correct. It's much better for swamp-approved donors to shape public policy, as Congress does, than friends of Trump to do so.
It was Trump's choice to say he only hires the best, and will drain the swamp.ttwtt78640 said:How dare anyone but lobbyists and DC insiders have any input to public policy decisions. The horror!
So he replaces career professionals with friends who have no relevant experience, and that's draining the swamp?
These literally are lobbyists and DC insiders
I'll bet you're pissed because you wanted Feinstein's husband to win the contract.https://thehill.com/business-a-lobb...onfidential-10-billion-va-contract-before-its

Career professionals? Congress doesn't use career professionals. They use the guys who give them the most money.
Was Trump doing what he said...hiring the best?
Was Trump draining, or filling up, the swamp?
Don't be shy, surely statistically you've got something negative to say about Trump.
Have you ever wondered why the Clinton foundation has lost all it's donations from Hillary's special donors who paid to play when she lost the election.

Reminds me of Michelle giving the $700 mil contract of writing the Obamacare enrollment software to her Princeton friend in Canada.
The chairman of a major corporation, a doctor and a lawyer aren't qualified? :lamo

It is funny to think that a CEO of an entertainment company would have any expertise in the healthcare, or that a random doctor and lawyer with no experience in running a large healthcare operation are qualified!!! :lamo
But, hey, Trump can hire who he wants. If they're senior enough, the Senate needs to confirm them. If not, they need to go through the process, get clearance if needed, make sure there are no ethics conflicts, and let's make this transparent. What are their jobs, who do they report to, what authority do they have? Pretty basic stuff.
