Your score is...

46

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What Your Score Means
0 points: You are not a libertarian by any stretch of the imagination. You are probably not even a liberal or a conservative. Just some Nazi nut, I guess.

1-5 points: You have a few libertarian notions, but overall you're a statist.

6-15 points: You are starting to have libertarian leanings. Explore them.

16-30 points: You are a soft-core libertarian. With effort, you may harden and become pure.

31-50 points: Your libertarian credentials are obvious. Doubtlessly you will become more extreme as time goes on.

51-90 points: You are a medium-core libertarian, probably self-consciously so. Your friends probably encourage you to quit talking about your views so much.

91-130 points: You have entered the heady realm of hard-core libertarianism. Now doesn't that make you feel worse that you didn't get a perfect score?

131-159 points: You are nearly a perfect libertarian, with a tiny number of blind spots. Think about them, then take the test over again. On the other hand, if you scored this high, you probably have a good libertarian objection to my suggested libertarian answer. :)

160 points: Perfect! The world needs more like you.

I disagreed with almost every economic view, talk about privatization to the extreme!

I am for publicisation of everything. No govt. or business, bye bye capitalism.

Liar. Unless you think we should abolish welfare? Cause that's not what you've said before. I suppose we could go with hypocrite. ;)

I've have tried taking this test from an anarcho-communist point of view and I got a 42. I think Comrade Brian may have built up his score in the five point category. If you're left-of-centre, I think the furter left you are the more likely your score will be higher. It is strange.

I had to demote myself to 105. I misunderstood the question of privatizing police forces. They could be sub-contrcted to private firms, but there would have to be a higher authority to watch over them.

I'm realizing that all you liberals are facists! So much for the idea that liberals are the ones that are for more liberty, huh?:2wave:
In my defense, there were not a lot of social liberty questions, and none of them counted for many points.

I'm sorry to say, that from a libertarian's point of view, you are. Just like authoritarianism, leftist economics is just another method of tyrannizing the individual. I believe that socialism equals slavery, but take heart, the majority would called that an extremist position.

I will. I'll drink some nice wine, eat some good food, develop technology, and generally help advance the human race. You and all your anarcho friends can live like cave men. Or like your gods in Spain 60 years ago. Not that they accomplished much besides SURVIVING.

lol, how about the more realistic situation where we'll live like kings while you live under the oppression of government.

Yeah, because so much good came from Italy under the facists, plus we've got plenty of fine wine and food out in Iowa. Not to mention most are buildings aren't hollowed out concrete slabs!
You've got corn and your wine sucks ass, not to mention you have a really high expectation of how cave men lived.

We got plenty of stuff out of Italy under fascism, but a more apt comparison would be to Europe today.

Yeah, Europe today, and economy that is solely propped up by W's stupidity and race riots, yeah, fantastic example.

And of course, without law we'd forget how technology works. :2wave:
Keep on saying that. I'll believe you when it crashes.

Of course not. You just lack the stability that people who create technology require. Don't worry, I'll let you buy the stuff my country invents. :2wave:

How so? You just keep saying things that you haven't backed up sufficiently. From business comes innovation, and business would thrive in anarchy.
Hardly. Business survives where there are laws to make sure it can keep its money.

Are you joking? All a business needs is a private security force to make sure it keeps its money.
Unless, umm someone hires a bigger security force.

Then the company joins with another company to afford a bigger security force (plus that would raise the question why someone would pay for a security force that costs more money than the business could afford to pay in the first place? If the business can't afford that level of a security force, then they don't have enough money to take to pay for what is spent on the larger security force in the first place)

What you're talking about is idiots. Most people won't spend money to take less money. That'd be like me buying a $20 knife so I could jack you for $5.
So the only businesses that can survive are the ones that can afford a big enough private security force? And you seem to think business will flourish in anarchy.

Of course it would. Businesses wouldn't waste their time stealing from each other, they make far more actually selling goods and services. You're basing all of this on the assumption that everyone in business is a pirate who can't afford a ship or can't find international waters.
It's not other businesses I'm talking about. Howbout some guy puts all his money into a...pawn shop. Is able to hire one security guard. Well, now there's a large group of theives who make a living robbing small businesses like his. They kill the guard and take his money and leave town. Guess the guy should have made enough money to hire a private army right? His own damn fault.

It's a bad investment. If he was smart he would've started a smaller pawn shop with enough money to hire competent security, if it meant protecting all he had. You don't see banks taking those chances, even with a public police force.
And how many men do you think a small business owner can afford? Three, at the most? How is he supposed to compete with 20 men whose only job is to steal from small business owners? Basically you are eliminating all small business. How's a farmer supposed to grow when he also has to hire dozens of people to make sure he isn't robbed?

Actually I am not an anarcho-communist, I'm a communist.

The difference is that anarcho-communists want communism almost immediatly after capitalism, I and mainstream communists want a socialist "transition stage".

The reason why further left=higher score, is because both communists and moderate-left both disagree on privatization. But communists want a stateless society, whereas most others don't.

I always thought the term anarcho-communism to be redundant. No matter how their ideal society is realized they still advocate the elimination of the state as an ends. It would seem like the disagreement is in the means, so one group would be more pragmatic and the other more idealistic.

I would think a similar analogy would be found with tax cuts. One group may want to cut all at once, and another wants to cut taxes over a period of time.

Admittadely, my knowledge of the subject is great. Although I am taking steps to remedy that. I bought the Communist Manifesto last week--Ah, the irony, and I'm still working my way through the long introduction.
