Leningradets Died Not from the German Blockade but from Marxist - Stalinist Failure to Send Food, Solonin Says
"

“the cause of the famine which carried off hundreds of thousands of human lives was not ‘the blockade’ and the absence of transport communications, but the absence of supplies which could have been brought to the city which was dying from hunger” (mnews.world/ru/ne-blokada-a-leningradskij-golodomor-istorik-mark-solonin-o-tom-pochemu-umirali-zhiteli-leningrada/).
Soviet and Russian writers who insist the city was cut off from the rest of the USSR, Solonin says, ignore the fact that 60 kilometers of the Western shore of Lake Ladoga was never occupied by the Germans and that German air attacks which might have blocked shipping effectively ended when Hitler shifted his main axis of attack to Moscow.
As a result, “for the supply of Leningrad by water transport, it was necessary to cross no more than 25 to 40 kilometers from the western to the southern shore of Lake Ladoga,” something that could have been arranged."

In Stalingrad, in the communist headquarters building, the communist party members ate well.

Meanwhile, in the homes of the common people, the grandparents would die first, then dad, then mom, then the neighbors would steal the kid's ration card by force, then the kids would die.

Leningrad didn’t have food because the Nazis and their collaborators besieged the city.

Pretending the city wasn’t almost entirely cut off is absurd.

It’s also really funny that you want to put a bunch of skeletons on trial.

What someone “calculated” decades later changes absolutely nothing about the reality of German attempts to starve the city into submission. But I get that you are desperate to ignore the reality of what the Nazis did on the Eastern Front.

It’s hilarious that you think pointing out the Nazis tried to starve the people of Leningrad is “Marxist”.

But then again, what else can you expect from the guy who can’t figure out why Hollywood won’t make a move about Nazi collaborators?

so you say that my name is M. Solonin?

old man try to relax, and read something outside your commie box , its great reading .
why koba killed 4,000 people killed commies in Leningrad?

"

BBC documentary team has seen Russian archives and discovered that Stalin led a witch-hunt after the war to purge the party of Leningraders. He had more than 4,000 people arrested, and executed the most senior officials. Stalin's role is revealed for the first time in the BBC2 programme Timewatch – Stalin and the Betrayal of Leningrad – on Friday.

Lev Voznesensky, nephew of a high-ranking official, who saw 23 members of his family arrested, is one of the few people who has seen the files. "There is no doubt that Stalin managed the Leningrad Affair," he says.

Even better reading is how the Nazis and their collaborators from across Europe were hunted down like rats.

No amount of squealing from you can change the fact that the Nazis tried to starve out Leningrad....and failed.

Stalin and the Betrayal of Leningrad

From the article:

Georgii Zhukov was dispatched to galvanise Leningrad's demoralised defenders. He did so with such effect that Hitler abandoned the idea of taking the city by storm. Now the plan was to starve it into surrender.

The result in winter 1941-2 was the worst famine ever in a developed society. Two and a half million people were trapped in Leningrad. With low reserves of food and fuel, only a trickle of supplies, and rations at starvation level, without heating or lighting, running water or drainage, and exposed to one of the bitterest winters on record as well as to continual bombing and shelling, they died in appalling numbers.

By the time spring came, half a million people were dead. Altogether around a third of the population would die during nearly 900 days of siege, a third would be evacuated, and a third would remain.

Stalin has been accused of sacrificing Leningrad, of indifference to its population's fate, with some justice. For him the needs of the Red Army had total priority. This is why the evacuation of civilians by the ice road across Lake Ladoga was delayed for weeks.

A large-scale air-lift of food into the city could have saved many lives, though it would have diverted planes from the military campaign. And while thousands were dying every day, news about Leningrad's ordeal was totally censored.

Nonetheless, the Soviet authorities got supplies through to the starving city, got people out, kept morale from collapsing, and eventually lifted the siege. Some of the credit for this belongs to Stalin. What is also certain is that Leningrad's fate would have been far worse had the city fallen to the Nazis.

The betrayal came after the war.

Leningrad didn't have food because of the Nazis. Period. The Nazis were the ones besieging the city and that's why they didn't have food. Was the Soviet distribution system shit? Yes. Was Stalin not worrying much about feeding the city? Probably true. Still the reason the city didn't have food was the Nazi siege. Never forget.

Solonin proved that koba starved L. to death with maps , numbers etc. why no one died from hunger in Berlin when koba´s criminal gang tried to bring Marxist Holodomor upon them 2 times ?

The Germans laid siege to the city. Not the Soviets. The Germans did everything they could to stop the flow of men, weapons and food from getting to the city.

The allied airlift into Berlin was during PEACETIME. Big difference. Really big. Huge.

Blaming the Soviets for the deaths in Leningrad is like Americans being blamed for Pearl Harbor.

And....

The Germans sieged the city, the reason they had no food was because the Germans sieged the city.

My grandfather fought to lift the blockage. Families were starving to death. People like my grandfather risked their lives to bring food and supplies, and fight to Nazis to free the blockage. I have a hard time believing this nonsense. Europe was at war. Why would a nation's leader put his his own city under siege? It stalled manufacturing and war production.

There is a Russian historian who claims white people evolved from Siberia while black people evolved in Africa. I think it's called the "out of Siberia Theory." Carry on.... 😄

in that case this is for you https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChLpUGaZO35ICTltBP50VSg

can you write something on the topic, why people in Berlin did not die meanwhile in L. people were dying like the flies?
Because the blockades were very different. Basically The USSR was not at war with anyone during the Berlin blockade, mostly they were bluffing and overplaying their hand. And when the West called their bluff and did the airlift, the Soviets did nothing. On the contrary during the Leningrad blockade Germany and the USSR were at war.

The reason people starved in Leningrad was the blockade, the Nazis were the ones doing the blockade.
