Joe Biden Says He Won’t Run for President in 2016

New Hampshire is the one place Jeb barely gets out of single digits. NONE of the other, more important primaries give either one a chance in hell of securing the nomination. Jeb is bleeding money right now. He's not going to make it.

I agree he isn't going to be the nominee. I said he won't drop out before the NH primary, which is in February. In other words, he won't drop out before the end of the year.

I assumed Biden was somewhere between Hilary and Sanders. Hilary seems too establishment, too Wall Street and aristocratic where Biden seems liberal enough to at least give Sanders a good run for the far left vote. But that may just be how I see it.

Biden comes off very regular Joe kinda guy but my beef with him in the past revolved around his ties to the big banks. Being a Delaware guy they pretty much owned him politically.

Would that beef also exist with Hilary? She seems to have quite a connection with Wall Street.

Understand I am not a government liberal (social liberal, yes) but it seems to me that Sanders really represents the left more than Hilary can, no matter what she says at the mic.

Ahh, I see. Well, let's see how long his money lasts before his investors say, "We're out Jeb".

I believe he'll make it into the primaries, but he has been a rather uninspiring candidate so far. He's going to have to turn things around if he hopes to make a run at the nomination. That both front-runners--Trump and Carson--lack leadership experience won't get the job done if he doesn't markedly improve his debate and campaign trail performances.

Her persona does chaffe me because there is this huge lack of authentic personality in her premanufactured performances. Yes, I am watching her donor list closely and the big banks are lining up behind her as of now.

I think it's funny how a farm league player like trump totally outplays jeb at every turn in this primary.

Yeah, that's the position the republican leadership has always taken. But that's not the case this time, and that's why they're shocked by the polling. In this case it's not just a fringe part of the base who is "disaffected", it's nearly the entirety of the base.

The pundits are just now starting to wake up to this.

I dearly hope you are right since I really want a fringe candidate like Trump to be the nominee of the GOP.

Yep, a "fringe candidate" against a known crook and liar. Should be a hell of a presidential election.

For the GOP, it has to be a concern. It's difficult to see how Trump would be competitive in the general election. Of course, I could be wrong, but I had expected Trump to be fading by now.

Perhaps, the GOP field is weaker than my underlying assumption. Certainly, Bush has proved to be a less effective candidate than I had expected, with his performance failing to match what was implied by his resume and experience. His campaign strategists need to devote effort to turning things around, as his challenges are becoming more of a turnaround situation than a temporary matter in what is a marathon campaign.

Apparently resume and experience now matter little to the general electorate. It once did.

Well, he's more authentic whether he's at the mic or not.

I'm wondering what his deflection campaign was about? What was the end game of this effort he allowed to take place? Inquiring minds want to know...

I think he realized he would not win. The hype was brought on by the media.

I'd thought Trump would be fading by now too. I don't understand why he hasn't and am so eager for him to be gone.

So, it's going to be Hillary? Good! It will be interesting to see how she fares now that she's "the annointed one".

From a "Libocrat" point of view, Joe had a lot going for him, but after all, he's old, he's White, and he's male. That's not at ALL what the Democrat Party is clamoring for today.

Trump will have the advantage because he has never lied about anything and has always had the interests of others placed above his own narrow concerns. I also understand that despite claiming children, he is virgin. The thing that is most impressive about Trump is his inability to swim in any pool or body of water as he simply walks across the surface. ;)

Those should be great as thirty second promo spots in the 2016 World Series.

Biden: I’m not running for president in 2016

Unfortunately, I believe we’re out of time, the time necessary to mount a winning campaign for the nomination,” Biden declared in a hastily announced and emotional statement in the Rose Garden of the White House. The vice president spoke with his wife, Dr. Jill Biden, and President Obama standing at his side.
The announcement capped months of speculation about whether he still had time to build the kind of fundraising and get-out-the-vote structure required for successful modern campaigns. Public opinion polls never showed him leading the frontrunner for the Democratic nomination, former secretary of state Hillary Clinton, and veteran party strategists privately doubted he could seriously challenge her for the affections of party activists.

Biden has no chance, and is simply stirring up the airwaves because the Democratic field has anything motivating most of the non-socialists on the left.

I wish I wasn't right so often.

He did leave the door a little bit open, but I don't see him jumping in unless Hillary goes down in flames.

Nah, I think he thought he had the charisma to get in. Like an old creepy, touchy, uncle who wants to butt into a street ball game. He even plays coach on the sidelines. He wants to get that change at joining in the game. Ultimately, he knows he can't take on better street players even if they're around the same age as him. .. god, buddha, allah, dios mio, mon dieu.... save us all if had decided to join in.

I think it was more the media wanting a story and clutching at straws. I doubt he ever really thought hard about running.a. The media needed something since right now the democratic nomination process is kinda dull, and even the republican side is not terribly exciting(how many stories can you do one Trump making **** up and insulting people, and Carson getting confused?).

Jeb can afford to bleed money and when the base comes to their senses and realizes that Trump is unelectable they will flock to the name they know, the one with the Mexican wife who will swing the latinos. They will still lose to Hillary anyway of course.
