Throughout President Obama’s run for presidency and currently, many citizens have been very critical to the point of new heights not seen prior for any president.
From being deemed a socialist or wanting to turn America into a welfare state, President Obama has had his share of displeasure from various citizens.
I will not debate now if his criticism has been valid or not. I will pose a simple question instead.
In America, racism has been around for a long time; no one debates this. The criticism I have read and actually responded toward at times, seemed to not be targeted at President Obama’s policies and leadership. This criticism seemed to be stemming from his tone of skin only. Anyone can throw out terms like socialist that wasn’t fully understood and see this is being critical; without undertones.
However in America, isn’t it more acceptable to simply come out and say, I disapprove of our current president because of his tone of skin and not his politics?
I ask many in this country, why continue to use undertones instead of making it publicly known, many in America will never support President Obama because of tone of skin.
I personally believe any American who wishes for an acting president to fail is not healthy for this great land and should leave.
However I ask many Americans and users on this site to simply say you disapprove of President Obama because he doesn’t have the tone of skin you would approve to be president.
Simple but to the point and understandable than to throw he is a socialist wanting to turn America into a welfare state for example.
Thank you
