Warren is most famous for lying about her ancestry to fraudulently obtain personal gain as a minority, but is the scandalous truth far worse?

Far from being a Native American, is Warren actually descended from genocidal perpetrators of the Trail of Tears?

It would seem so:

Elizabeth Warren's 'ancestor rounded up Cherokees from their homes for the Trail of Tears'... but she brushes off claims | Daily Mail Online

It appears that Warren's great-great-great grandfather rounded up Cherokee to die along the Trail of Tears.

Is this akin to claiming your relatives died in the Holocaust only to have it discovered that they actually put the REAL victims in boxcars traveling to the death camps?

Can Warren wiggle out of this?

Does she need to, or will her supporters ignore any terrible truth which damns her?

Both people who give a **** about this where not going to vote for her anyway. Your desperation is showing.

By the way, we talked about this back 7 years ago when it was current. Pretty much no one cared. When the best you can do is dig up an old scandal no one cares about that has nothing to do with whether she would be a good president, you kinda make a point far different from what you intended.

Many (perhaps most?) have no idea what their great-great-great grandparents may (or may not) have done or assume any responsibility (or take any credit) for it.

While I completely disagree with Warren's politics it's beyond absurd to lay blame at her feet for something a family member did multiple generations ago.

Great, Great, Great , Great grandfather raised horses in San Fratello, Sicily. Word is that not all the horses he raised were his. That could be why the family became American.

Wasn't Trumps grandfather a criminal that Germany wouldn't take back?
That's only 1 to 2 generations back should he be labeled a criminal for what his grandfather did?

Just like clockwork. Warren goes up in the polls, and the right starts slinging mud.

Y’all need to stop being so predictable.

 Or not, and we could just point and laugh.

I certainly wouldn’t want to be judged by my ancestors. I don’t even want to trace my family tree. I’m pretty sure if I do, I will find the Klan.

I had a friend in HS who became a welder. He claimed to have come from a long line of iron and steel - he asserted that his grandmother used to iron and his grandfather used to steal.

Hey, lets go round up John Wilkes Booth's progeny and execute em!

So many stupid threads today.....some people are scared...

I think if she uses a distant ancestor for advancing her career a distant ancestor is fair game by political opponents.

Good news, she didn't do that.

Really? I'm part Odawa in family tree and Ancestry DNA. I would never check Native American even though I was born here and a Dutch ancestor married an Indian girl. I know who the Native box is for and why.

So, let's be clear: You are saying any person in history who is successful and identifies as native american couldn't possibly have succeeded based on merit?

Literally only hard core trump supporters and Russian trolls give a **** about this.

Sounds like that Dutch ancestor knew what that native box was for too. LOL!

To make the point a little easier to follow, countless African Americans today have slave masters and slave traders in their ancestry.

You get one guess why.

Many (perhaps most?) have no idea what their great-great-great grandparents may (or may not) have done or assume any responsibility (or take any credit) for it.

The issue here is that she gained massively from her fraud, and did so via lying about her ancestry.

It speaks to a complete lack of character.

If someone gains citizenship in Israel based on a false claim that their family members were Holocaust victims when in fact they were perpetrators, what do you imagine Israeli authorities would do?

So, let's be clear: You are saying any person in history who is successful and identifies as native american couldn't possibly have succeeded based on merit?

We know Warren checked that box without being marginalized. I don't believe in affirmative action, but Warren was disingenuous.

That's not what's happening.

Her ancestor was a perpetrator of genocide, and Warren claimed she was a victim.

She made millions with this fraud.

:hm

That's not what the accusation is. You're claiming she advanced her career by falsely identifying as native american. However, your only evidence of this... her previously identifying as native american.

This means you think identifying as native american is inherently something done to advance a career.

Feel free to elaborate on whatever further evidence you've just somehow mistakenly never mentioned before. (along with every other right winger on the planet who has failed to identify any other evidence whatsoever)
