Glenn Beck has been vocally opposed to Newt Gingrich for a long time now.
I can't prove it, but it seems that Mr. Beck might have had every bit as much to do with Gingrich's nosedive in the polls as the negative ads run by Romney's PAC.
I have heard it said before that since Mr. Beck is himself a mormon, he is trying to knock Gingrich out of the race so that a Mormon candidate can win the election.
Do you believe this?
I mean, he has attacked Gingrich for not being "conservative enough," but hasn't been nearly as critical of Romney, who is much less conservative.
I know he has publicly supported Bachmann and Santorum, and that makes me doubt the accusation. If it were true, wouldn't he back Romeny or Huntsman?
On the other hand, Gingrich is probably the only one who really stood a chance of beating Romney, so it does make me wonder.
What say you? Does Glenn Beck have a personal motive here?
