You are comparing a total remake of a nation's identity (the U.S. in Iraq) to an agreement (even if it failed) between the U.S. and North Korea to stop pursuing missile technology in exchange for technology to build nuclear power plants.

This does not compute, and its just retarded to try to compare the two.

Really? Well, I know this thread, despite your efforts, is rather bi-partisan except for your rabid attack starting with the first response to the thread. All I'm saying is tone it down a bit. If the thread is obviously partisan in nature (there are plenty of Polls out there like this, check out PTSDkid on the right, and Hipsterdufus on the left) then by all means bicker away. But don't start out what could have and should have been a bi-partisan intelligent debate with this partisan blame someone and put words in thier mouths attitude. No, we had a deal that failed. They already had enough nuclear material to make a bomb prior to the agreement. A nuclear reactor doesn't create a missile, you still have to have missile technology.

I saw some wargames recently. It is going to cost the US 20k people or so to get rid of NK government. Hundreds of thousands of NK people would die.

Yes, a preemtive strike to stop a nation from developing nuclear weapons is justifiable since we're talking about the survival of the planet and everything on it.

My question is with what army?

We're bogged down in Iraq for at least 10 years IMO.

One of my Uncles flew Hell Cats with over 20 confirmed kills in the pacific and another was Infantry in North Africa fighting Rommel.

My father was an Army Ranger Master SGT. and he taught me many things of which I am proud but he never really spoke of the action he saw. Needless to say thanks to my namesake recruiters started calling me when I was 12. I regret not joining up, with what my father taught me I would have excelled. If he hadn't passed away when I was 13 I would have probably gone to West Point.

But this is just recent history....

What I'm trying to tell you and Vader is; I can take care of myself pretty well and you better believe I'd say all this to your face.

Show me one place on this thread anywhere where someone stated that they do NOT support a preemptive strike to destroy a nation's nuclear weapon's capability.

Put up or stop your senseless generalization of the point.

Honestly there is no debate to be had here, everyone is in agreement, except a select few of the rabid conservatives are trying to create debate by telling other people where they stand on the issue because they have donkey images under thier avatar.
