well, you can deal with idiots BEFORE they have nukes, or after they have them.

clearly, the left would much rather wait until after they have them. many on the left would actually rather wait until after they use them.

its mind boggling really.

That is true and what really hurts is the Clinton adminstration gave them classified info on how to make nukes..........

Whats your source on this?

Additionally it is the Presidents choice to disseminate whichever information he likes. So saying it was "classified" is propaganda in an effort to make Clinton look like a traitor. Now the implication is one you may agree with, but most people don't.

Re: Is a preemptive strike to destroy a nation's nuclear weapons capability ever just

Most definitely. In fact, it's incredibly immoral and short-sighted to NOT launch a preemptive strike to destroy a nuclear weapons program, if there's a good reason to believe that the country pursuing the nukes would be irresponsible with them.

you dont think most people consider information on how to build nuclear weapons given to a communist regime like NK is "classified" ?

interesting.

hell, lets just post it on the internet and furnish every country on the planet with the tools and equipment necessary to complete a nuclear arsenal.

and read this

On October 21, 1994, the United States and North Korea signed an agreement-the Agreed Framework-calling upon Pyongyang to freeze operation and construction of nuclear reactors suspected of being part of a covert nuclear weapons program in exchange for two proliferation-resistant nuclear power reactors. The agreement also called upon the United States to supply North Korea with fuel oil pending construction of the reactors. An international consortium called the Korean Peninsula

Gimme a freakin' break....The Administration has had 5 yrs. to "Deal" with what they created with the "Axis of Evil" statement...and have Failed in flying colors. Maybe some level of discussion might have prevented the rediculous situation we are in now....and perhaps the one Iran will force us into in the coming years.

Its quite amazing what Mutual respect can accomplish when used by those with intellect. Instead we just call evryone Evil....and wait for the inevitable....F@cking Idiots in charge of diplomacy.

We reap what we sow.

Re: Is a preemptive strike to destroy a nation's nuclear weapons capability ever just

I would say Yes.

Most definately.
Without a doubt.

But, only if they were a country that posed a threat to the peaceful world. (i.e. North Korea, Iran, Saudi Arabia, other wacko Islamo-maniac nations, Venezuela, Cuba, etc).

It took exactly one post for someone to show rabid thoughtless brainwashed partisanship. On top of that, you went so far as to make it sound as if any one from "the left" even made a response to this that supported your claims. I mean... you even used the word "clearly".

Can you show me proof and evidence of how the left "clearly" thinks this way?

Do you need the difference between a light water reactor and heavy water reactor explained to you? Because when you say we gave them nuclear technology, what that actual means is we promised to build them light water reactors if they wouldn't build heavy water ones (which produce weapons grade fuel more easily). Considering we never even finished building them ONE of these, I really fail to see how we handed them any sort of nuclear technology to aid them in creating a bomb. If anything their information came from Pakistan.

Oh and we were going to build a reactor, which does not constitute "classified info on how to make nukes" . Theres a world of difference there. And on top of that prior to us promising to build them a lightwaterreactor, they already had enough fuel to make 10 bombs. So we can't even be held acccountable as providing them the fuel, let alone absurd claims of providing knowledge to build a weapon.

When it comes to the left this is a no win situation for President Bush.......When they want to deal one on one on and issue the left will say get the Germans and the Frnech involved................When the Bush administration wants to make it a 6 party position, the left says why don't you go one on one...........

What the hell?
This is your attempt at trying to keep the partisan bickering (started by ProudAmerican and encouraged by you) going?

Sad attempt. You'll have to try better than this.

I am not so sure that we should allow people who have NK deep into their pockets do the negotiating for us.

But that's what we're doing.

I'm hoping China's recent change of heart might make some progress on this front but I ain't gonna hold my breath.

Gimme a freakin' break....The Administration has had 5 yrs. to "Deal" with what they created with the "Axis of Evil" statement...

yeah, and the left would have supported it fully right? LOL. like they supported everything else the president has done.

Maybe some level of discussion might have prevented the rediculous situation we are in now.

yeah, 12 years and 17 resolutions should have done the trick eh?

Its quite amazing what Mutual respect can accomplish when used by those with intellect.

LMAO. yeah, the leader of NK is just full of intellect.

I'm all for coalition-building, but your analogy doesn't make much sense. The other four parties (China, Russia, Japan, SKorea) would prefer that the United States had one-on-one talks with NKorea.

I can only hope to be as bi partisan as you are.

I could take the time to find posts of multiple leftists on this site to show you the left "clearly" thinks this way.....however

1. its a waste of time
2. most of those idiots are on my ignore list and I refuse to take them off to find their insaine ramblings.

the fact that you want to play dumb and act like you have never seen any of those posts by any of those people makes me wonder if you are as much of a "centrist" as you want people to think you are.

tell us ohhh bi partisan one.....

should we have acted pre-emptively with Iraq? or waited untill after they had the same technology that NK now posesses?

also, someone mentioned in another post today that they wondered where your input was when a leftist made a partisan comment.

I think it was a great point.

I have yet to see you call a left leaning individual out when they make a partisan statement.....but you sure as hell are awful quick to jump on the right when they do it.

yeah, your right down the ole middle.

I think you and I are a lot alike. thats what I think.

why is it that when someone makes a broad statement about a group of people in general....some folks get all bent out of shape? If caine doesnt fit the description, then WTF does he care what I think about the "left" in general?

fact is, hes as much left as I am right and he simply doesnt want to admit it.

that may be, but so far I havent seen it. and it could be for the reasons you say.

I like who I like, and I wont be swayed by anyone other than THAT person.

I think much of what you say is dead on accurate as well. I like many of your ideas. I wont apologize for that no matter how much some individuals want to paint me as a "neocon" or "radical right wing nut"

Can you show me a link where they say that........They are the neighbors of NK..........They have much more to lose then we do.........

The people clamoring for one on one talks are the left........
