I refuse to vote for Mitt Romney

Wrong. of course who controls the senate would be a major factor.

Romney has a record. And as a liberal he would appoint liberal judges or so called moderates.

do you understand who picks 99% of the federal judges appointed by any president?

If you want to be a child I cannot prevent it. If you want to be an adult let me know. .........

Odd comment from a guy that thinks Obama is a Marxist, which in and of itself is either a childish understanding of politics or a childish approach to debate.

If Obama supporters believed Obama is a marxist would they admit that to someone who thinks Obama is a turd?

If Bush supporters believed Bush is a Fascist would they admit that to someone who thinks Bush is a turd?

I have never met a Bush supporter who even remotely believed Bush was a fascist but there are plenty of Obama supporters who were hoping he was a socialist or marxist when they voted for him and are now mad that he is not nearly as marxist as they hoped

Corporatism is an aspect of Fascism. So are things like loyalty pledges and ardent Nationalism.

any proof of that? collectivism is an aspect of fascism. Its also an aspect of socialism, communism etc.

I am still waiting for you to back up your insinuation that bush was a fascist or some of his supporters thought he was.

When did you stop beating your wife?

Back up your accusation that Obama is a Marxist.

changing the issue again?

oh for those who don't want to go back here is where Winston apparently came up with "proof" that I claimed Obama is a marxist

Can I ask an obvious question? How is voting for a 3rd party candidate or not voting, voting for Obama? Its not like Obama is the default and a republican candidate has to get 75% of the votes. Sorry if I'm being an idiot but I still haven't figured this out.

Also, side note: Is it possible to block certain people's posts so I don't have to read their babble?

Its not a vote for Obama. Its just fear mongering used to try to get people to vote for their candidate. As though voting for a someone you think will be just as lousy as the current president is somehow a better option than voting for the candidate you actually think is the right person for the job.

Third parties do not field viable candidates. Voting third party means the viable candidate closest to the third party does not get a vote he otherwise would, which is a net plus for his opponent.

On blocking posts, yes. Go to your control panel, open "edit ignore list" and type in the brain-cell deadening poster's name.

I can't agree because I've known people since I was a little kid who voted enthusiastically for Presidential candidates. I myself have experienced mainly ambivalence in my own voting lifetime, but there were people who really loved Hubert Humphrey, for example. And others, including Obama. They didn't vote for him as the lesser of two evils; they've voted for him because his personal charisma convinced them that he could effect change they could believe in.

So, you are saying most people are stupid and don't consider who best represents them?

LOL. The time to fight for your candidate is in the primaries.

You behave like a petulant child who takes his ball and goes home when he cannot be the hero on the playing field. Marxists and Communists everywhere will applaud your principle. They know that you are, in a phrase attributed to Lenin, a useful idiot.

Do you think the coming storm will pass you by because you split the Republican vote, out of principle, allowing the Marxist to win?

If Obama wins because Romney or whoever the Republican nominee is can't hold the base together, I can live with that. Maybe if the Republicans keep losing these elections they'll get the message that we care about more than if the President has a D or an R next to his name. Maybe they will get the message that the Republican nominee should reflect the values and priorities of Republican voters. The Republican party does not have a right to my vote. Simply being marginally less offensive than the other guy is not enough to get my seal approval. I'll happily waste my vote on a third party to register my displeasure with their nominee.

You act like Obama is this horrible far left idealogue, but let me ask you a question. Where exactly do you think Romney would've differed with Obama on the policies he's enacted? We still would've got a massive stimulous bill. We would've still got an overreaching healthcare bill. Same foreign policy towards Iraq, Afghanistan, and probably Libya. A few particulars would've been different. Romney's version of a stimulus bill would've lined different pockets, but in the end Romney has more in common with Obama than he doesn't.

This guy doesn't care who you vote for. He is opposed to Obama "The Marxist". Don't vote third party because it screws the Republicans and "The Marxist" will win and the world will explode. He has shown no desire to explain any of reasons for calling people children and tells them they are being naive. The very idea that Obama, I'm sorry, "The Marxist", could destroy us, or would be a fatal mistake is ridiculous. No President has that kind of power. Perhaps Misterveritis is the one that does not understand the American political system or is just too caught up in their own delusions to have an actual debate about it.
I just do not feel the need to give idiot lessons.

But just for the three of you here is the abbreviated version.

We fight for our choice of candidates during the time leading up to as well as during the primaries. Sometimes the fighting continues up to the Convention. In the end the members of the party choose a candidate. We have several choices. We can vote for the party's chosen candidate and win. We can stay home. We can vote for a third party candidate. The second choice, to stay home will help the other party's candidate win. We can vote for a third party candidate as an alternative to the candidate chosen by the party. When we do we are essentially casting our vote for the other party's candidate.

That has been our history. That will be our future.

Children play "what if" games all the time. They are not real. They are games. Adults realize that getting some of what they want is far better than getting none of what they want.

Yes, the one term Marxist president Barack Hussein Obama, should he continue for four more years, will be the disaster that brings European-style socialism to the US. I would prefer that a conservative win the White House along with enough seats in the House to take control from the establishment republicans. I would prefer that enough conservatives win seats in the Senate to take control there as well. But I am an adult. In life I do not always get everything I want. And when I don't I do not throw a temper tantrum like a two-year old.

I perfectly understand the American political system.
If true then you are throwing a temper tantrum. Children do childish things.

There are republicans who are party first just as there are democrats who are party first and would sell out their own political views as long as their party wins. You vote for who the media tells you to vote for.

This proves to me that you actually do not understand our political system.

If one claims to be a conservative then he or she should not want a liberal in office regardless of what letter is next to that liberal's name.
And here we have additional evidence that you think like a child, not like an adult. This is a "what if" game. What if I could have a conservative in office? You can clench your fists, put, and help the Marxist win. Or you can put aside your childish thinking and help with the difficult task of saving the nation. That requires that the one term Marxist and his fellow travelers be defeated.

WOW a not to excellent job at duck run and cover there TD :lamo

I guess that is a concession that you understand that you misinterpreted what I said

Thank you
