I got 21 so far today, including ones for posts I wrote weeks ago. Weird when that happens huh?

0 because no body likes me! And THESE LIKE ARE ALL THAT MATTERS TO ME IN MY LIFE!

I just gave Spud his 10,000th like.

He clearly has other talents apart from living in a land down under, where beer does flow and men chunder.

Being God's advisor he will probably get most Likes everyday.

What I wanna know is what did Gina do to get more likes than posts!

I'm just askin' ..

Whoa, 1800 likes out of 13,000 posts. Slow down there, Tiger. LOL

I'm not Tiger, I'm Thunder. There's a difference.

;)

Oh gawd...

Edit: I was gonna say something but I realized I couldn't really say it without breaking the Vegas rule and perhaps some other rules...so I'll just leave it at oh gawd.

3 or 4...sometimes as many as 10 but that's when I first arrived with my wit and wisdom and charismatic perfectness.

ok ok ok...let's see how many "get" this (age showing trap) :

What does one get when one gets many likes? A dewey button?

It's pretty easy to calculate exactly. Time at DP divided by total likes. I've been here for 3 years and 141 days (1236 days total) and I have 16,185 likes which gives me 13.09 likes per day.

We can also look at Thunder: He has been here 188 days and has 1882 likes giving him 10.01 likes per day.

But those numbers are disingenuous because I only post 25.38 posts per day while thunder posts 72.68 posts per day. Even though he outpaces my posting by almost three to one, I average about 30% more likes per day than he does.

I would suggest that we look at total posts per like received to get a true metric of how often a persons posts are "liked".

I have a whopping 31,355 posts at the time that I write this (this post is actually 31,356) with 16,185 likes. This means that I get one like for every 1.94 posts of mine.

Thunder has 13,601 posts at the time that I am writing this with 1882 likes, which means he gets one like for every 7.23 posts of his.

So, while his likes per day number appears high, his likes per post numbers are actually significantly lower than pretty much everyone in this thread.

Someone should create some sort of thread totally dedicated to increasing our "likes".....

Hmmm....

The simplest formula is likes to posts, with anything over 1:3 meaning a good number of likes. However...Likes has not been around all that long so older members have lots and lots of posts from before likes came along. Further, the basement does not have likes at all. And then there is the CC rule: likes for making announcements do not count. In the end, the it is up to the individual user to decide what and how much likes matter to them. I only get excited about likes when some one unexpected likes my post.
