House Intelligence Committee votes to release documents alleging missteps by the FBI while surveilli

Are you serious?

Play along for a moment. If it is true that the FBI (Comey, McCabe), CIA, former DoJ, Obama, and DNC falsified information and presented it to a judge to gain a FISA warrant to illegally surveille a political opponent, while simultaneously paying a private firm to construct a dossier of information to tie that same political opponent to a foreign conspiracy.......

Does that not make Watergate look like Tiddly Winks?

And does that not make Comey's public exoneration of Hillary to be nothing more than a cover-up that the DoJ supported to cover its backside, too?

And if so, what business does this same FBI have conducting an investigation about this same dossier?

This is potentially the biggest political scandal of our lifetime. Don't you want to see how it plays out?

You've waited a year for this collusion investigation, but you won't wait a month for this?

A campaign paying a private firm to do research is not new, nor is t a crime. It also does not make evidence about Clinton's e-mails.

They didn't even interview her according to standard protocol. Something went on there, and they had plenty. They had her dead to rights on the server alone. Just the server broke every rule in the book.

The existence of the server was not against the law.

One problem. Multiple people involved have either been demoted or removed from their senior positions at the DOJ and FBI

Bruce Ohr, was assistant deputy AG under Obama and was removed from that position and his other high ranking position in the DOJ

Peter Sztrok was assistant head of the FBIs counter intelligence division under Obama, and was demoted to Human rescources.

Lisa Page was fired from Muellers team and re-asigned.

Andrew McCabe was removed from his position as deputy director of the FBI yesterday

You think this is all a coincidence ?

Using false information to obtain warrants and launch an investigation is a crime.

Weird, Fusion GPS tried to hide the fact that they were hired by Hillary's campaign and the DNC, and fought the release of their bank records.

Hillary's lawyer denied Clinton had anything to do with the dossier for over a year until he was forced to acknowledge Hillary's campaign funded the dossier

Sure, oppo-research is nothing new nor is it limited to one party. But thats not really the issue, is it ?

Something tells me we already know who on the FISA court approved this warrant....

Remember this ?

Judge in Flynn case recuses himself...

https://www.google.com/amp/thehill....3885-judge-in-flynn-cases-recuses-himself?amp

Obama appointee Judge Rudolph Contreras was a FISA judge back when this warrant was appoved.

Of-course, it doesnt mention thaitin the article, but I have a feeling we'll be hearing his name againe

I thought you'd never ask ...

Thanks. I guess I'm surprised no one from the House Intelligence committee is making this allegation, nor can I find it in any story. I'm also surprised the House Intelligence Committee voted unanimously to release the memo to the full House, which no Republican on the intelligence committee had even seen before the vote.

I guess my point is I don't believe Zeldin's account at this point.

It wasn't a presidential campaign? :lamo

The surveillance was o not of the campaign it was of members of the campaign. However it turned put the whole gang was I involved.

Think of picking up a small time dealer who sells to an under cover cop but the cops watched him until he led them to (ironically the Don)?

Yes, his actions are exactly what a Russian stooge would do. Congress had to take away his power to void existing sanctions on Russia because he said he would lift them. Yesterday, to the dismay of everyone except the Russians, Trump decided no new Russian sanctions. That's exactly what we'd expect from the Siberian candidate.

And what did Obama do?

This is making me suck tohear supposed American ( although I highly doubt that), to spread propaganda like this.

I spent years in tbe army during tbe cold war specifically training to fight this nation.

Now an ex kgb intelligence aveny found a way ti fix our election and put an avent in the presidency makes me ill!!!

You and many many other Liberals are making yourselves ill.

Ill tell you what I use to tell my kids years ago.

You should never commit yourself emotionally to circumstances or issues that are beyond your control. Never !

You just contradicted yourself.

:lamo

So a controversial political activist with no background in counter intelligence or espionage created a memo that backs the dossier ?

I guess they're trying to retroactively prove the lies to be true.

I can just hear'em: uh, yeah, we lied when we initially applied for the warrant, but look what we have, now.

:lamo

Is it REALLY wise for Republicans to attack the FBI?
They have 35,000 people working for them.

I guess Republicans aren't smart enough anymore to understand that, when you declare WAR on the entire institution, you're going to make enemies out of ALL of them, even the ones who originally might have supported you. This must just be another part of the Republican Death Spasms. I guarantee you it's going to come back around and bite them square in the ass.

I predict an end to free passes for Republican Congressmen.
No more ignoring their tax problems, little legal issues, illicit affairs, secret drug addictions, drunk driving, etc.
Life is going to really SUCK for these guys after they release their stupid made up memo to themselves.
Some of their members can obviously see this coming and have chosen to resign now, while the getting is good, has anyone else noticed that?

So, because you disagree with a Presidential decision, that makes us 30s era Germany, or Stalinist Russia?
Absolutely I disagree with what Trump is doing. I'm on the side of democracy, j-mac. What side is the President on? Where's his defense of our democratic process? Where's yours?

You know, you libs are amazing at inventing insulting names, and bumper sticker false narratives that mock, and enrage your opponents, I have to wonder by the over reaction to this what's up? Normally, you'd just mock it, and dismiss it, but the reaction tells me that there's something to it, and you're scared.
Damn right there's fear in the air. There should be. Again, where's the defense of our democracy? Trump doesn't even recognize the threat. Do you?

You just knew that there was funny business in the election, and you were right, there was. From democrats, the media that you lap up like mother's milk, from idiots like Maddow, O'Donnell, and the morning schmo. You bought their lines without question, and now are about to be shown a small glimpse of the real corruption that was going on, and you lash out as a first reaction like a run of the mill progressive likening this country to Nazi Germany, or Stalinist Russia...very disappointing.

I very much think for myself, as is evident by my post here & elsewhere. Your lack of of awareness & understanding of what's occurring around you, is my greatest fear. Because that lack of awareness is the basis forming the lack of political will needed to resolve the issue.

Trump giving the Russian oligarchs a pass today, is unconscionable. Congress giving Trump a pass in turn, is just as grievous.

I served as well in the Vietnam era but nether have anything to do with your claim of INTERFERENCE There was no interference but there was influence which doesn't violate any law except your made up one

Oh...yeah...the judge. Someone has finally mentioned the judge.

The name of the judge who granted the FISA request hasn't been revealed yet, but I suspect it will be eventually.

I suggest you keep this guy's name in mind: U.S. District Court Judge Rudolph Contreras

Uh ohhhh, he's a brown people!

Watergate was indeed childs play compared to a presidential candidate conspiring to get Russian help to win an election.

And yet every step reveals a story of Trump saying "no." No to the Russian lawyer no to the greek guy.

Trump invited the Russians to get involved in the election in the first place.

Trumps top campaign officials agreed to meet and collude with Russians to get dirt on Clinton knowing it was illegal to do so.

Trump admitted to Lester Holt that he tried to obstruct justice by firing Comey.

Trump has said NO just about as often as a hooker in a brothel.

Are you usually sitting with your mouth agape in stunned awe when the magician tells you to look upon his right hand and then with his left pulls a rabbit out of the hat?

Whats the rabbit? Sending lethal aid to Ukraine? Bombing Putin allies in the mideast? Making energy deals with eastern european countries? Threatening to withdraw from the Iran deal?

Trumps term is 25% over. Its time to actually describe all this cozying up with Putin. Its time to explain why Putin hasnt used all this information he supposedly has on Trump to blackmail him to prevent the above.

For one its NOT enforcing the sanctions voted on overwhelmingly by Congress.
