A society that embraced a scum bag like Idi Amin seems to have no problems embracing other scum bags.
They get what they deserve
Not quite as simple as that, I met similar evangelicals when I worked in West Africa many years ago. The local Nigerian and Ghanaian evangelicals were scary people with horrible views but their views were "balanced" on the other side by some similar radical Muslims.
I never got invited to radical Muslim gatherings but I did go out of curiosity to the evangelical meetings where pamphlets were handed out - mostly funded and printed in the US. I wouldn't blame the US for this - the OP is particularly a Uganda affair and the worrying thing is that this movement in Uganda has support in some areas of the Uganda Govt.
