Prisons dump millions upon millions of dollars in the pockets of the people responsible for feeding, clothing and incarcerating people, and they get virtually free labor from the prison system.

The prison system is the most un-American racket in this country, and nobody cares. Because the vast majority of people in prison are the wrong color.

We never get too far into any discussion before some liberal shouts racism.

"I think you suck and are evil" is not really a way to win support so much as it is a way to express one's belief that they are superior. If you wanted the evil right's support, you might would point out that getting a medical mary jane card prohibits you from possessing a firearm so people on the right who support guns should support legalization of pot to end this policy, but facts and logic aren't nearly as much fun as name-calling and finger-pointing are they?

How is supporting legalizing drugs radical? 52% of Americans now support legalizing pot and 75% say the drug war is lost. Where am I being a radical?

Wanting the legalization of illicit drugs in itself is not radical. You, on the other hand, are insanely obsessed and fixated on the topic, and only see the issue in black and white absolutes. To you, a person who isn't a drug abuser absolutely has to be a "drunk", and anyone who doesn't drink or do drugs is either lying, or is a holier than thou "Jesus freak", because you see the issue through an extremely narrow perspective. You aren't interested in actual facts, you're just in it to project your problems onto others. That is why you're an extremist.

First of all black and white tactics have been used against pot smokers for years. If you drink you are Ok but if we catch you smoking pot we are going to throw you in jail. How much more black and white can you get my friend. If you think booze and cigarettes should be illegal along with pot then at least I would respect you for not being a hypocrite. If on the under hand you support the status quo then you sir are a moralist and a hypocrite. Pot and most other illegal drugs are no more dangerous than booze or smoking the body count supports that. I have no problem with a so called clean life style. If that is what floats you boat living in a so called moral utopia then more power to you. Just don't push that moralistic BS on others. If you don,t like porn,booze,drugs,prostitution or gambling then don't do it but dont stop others from doing it. It is supposed to be a free country after all.

I have told you before I really don't care one way or the other about pot as long as I do not have to smell it. You guys are just picking the worst way to try to skin the cat IMO.

Did you hear what Rand Paul said in front of the senate. He said "It is sad that a third of black males can't vote because they had felony's on their record as a result of the war on drugs" and then he said "Our prisons are full of people of color because they are not has hard to bust as white kids who's parents have lawyers to defend them."Now don't get me wrong Rand is a freaking nut job but he is right on when it comes to these issues.I am glad someone is telling the truth to the conservatives and moral crusaders.

I got meret raises all the time and they just don't hand those out. In fact I did such a good job I was sent into the Black Hole. A military secret project. I was picked out and i could not say no. I failed the drug test and was fired. That is the only time in my life my pot smoking screwed me over. It was not affecting my work performance so why did they have to resort to fascism? I got a good job later in the mental health field and they don't drug test so it worked out. If you have been a victom of this hypocricy you too would be ticked off.

So for the third time now, were you unaware of Boeing's drug testing policy? Did Boeing just up and create a drug-testing policy that caught you short, or did it have a long-standing policy or what?

Venom is not a way to win support for your cause. It simply is not. Moderates move causes over the finish line far more times than any other group. Sucks you lost your job, but I cannot help but feel you had a choice, played the odds, and lost. I can't tell you how many people I have seen go to jail or prison because they did the exact same thing as you--rolled the dice while they were on probation and got busted because of weed in their pee. We all make decisions that have consequences. I really have not a lot of empathy for people who knew the risk and did stuff anyway and suffered a consequence. I am sure pot will be legalized in time, but demonizing people really isn't going to speed that up any, so maybe that is not what supporters should lead with.

We spend too much on prisons. We need to open the doors and ship them off throughout the country

I will gladly spend more for prisons and less for food stamps and welfare.
And if you actually read anything about the industry, less and less is being spent on prisons. We just had one close here in Brevard and all the prisoners moved to Orlando.
