Harry Reid's seat not such an easy grab?

Scott Brown is very LIBERAL as far as Republicans go. He's popular because he's a charismatic.

Quick question: Do you like Olympia Snowe, Susan Collins or John Boehner more?

Out of that list first Senator Snowe and then Senator Collins.

Adn that sir, is why you cannot understand Red State Conservative thinking. Those two, are RINO's, and couldn't get elected as Republicans pretty much anywhere south of say.. Boston.

my disappointment that the republicans have not chosen someone electable to oust reid from his senate seat appears to be beyond your comprehension

what is beyond my comprehension is why an independent, someone who votes for the best candidate, regardless of party affiliation, should be ashamed to take that political stance. elucidate us with your explanation - IF you are able

Because your commentary on this forum is decidedly to the left, you want the GOP to select moderate/left candidates... you are a lefty. You aren't independent. You may not be reliant on the DNC, but your lean is quite clear, and quite consistent.

Actually I do understand Red State conservative thinking. I lived in South Carolina for 10 years. I grew up with it and I had it taught to me. Just because I don't support the complete conservative model doesn't mean I don't understand.

No, you don't understand it, or you wouldn't say Scott Brown style Candidates are better for Nev. :failpail:

No I do understand. I don't think going from Reid to her is a good idea though. I think in this case the GOP should find some one more moderate to gain the people's trust and then shift to a more ideal conservative candidate. And yes I do understand it.

Yes cause a more moderate candidate is what Conservative GOP Voters want. From hard left to soft left??? Yeah, you don't get it. YOU want a softy middle of the road centrist.

You don't know how happy comments like this make democrats!

Yes, conservative GOP voters want a conservative candidate, of course. The thing you fail to notice is that conservative GOP voters do not make a majority. If you want to win, you have to appeal to the center.

But hey, just keep digging that hole! I'll be here to cheer you on.

Pretty much this. The country may lean right, but only slightly. You can't put a candidate that far away from the center by either party. I mean hell that is how President Obama campaigned and he pulled a lot of independent voters.

This is a falsehood spread by liberals and blueblood rino's. IF you were correct, the DNC would be moderate left, not hard left. Why is it only the CONSERVATIVES must appeal to the center hmm?

Keep smoking the pipe bud.

The DNC only seems hard left if you are so far to the right that EVERYONE seems left to you!

Most of us on the left hardly consider the Democrats as being "liberal" -- they're just more liberal than the Republicans.

Yeah, Nancy P. Harry R. and Barack O. The hardly liberal centrist leadership of the Democrat party. That shows how FAR left you are to feel that way.

Or maybe it shows how FAR right you are that YOU feel that way?

Or maybe it's both. It's all relative. To the europeans we've got a center-right and a lunatic right party. Kim Jong Il often is known to call us imperialists. Dinner Jacket in Iran would call us too liberal.

Whole country ran screaming from the GOP after the disastrous previous administration, and now the GOP thinks the solution is to push farther to the right. "Oh, clearly we're not being crazy enough."

We'll see how that works out I guess.

After what Obama has done they are running from the left

Translation: A wussy limpwristed RINO

you remind me of some foolish clients who fail to recognize that a percentage of something is better than 100% of nothing

because of your standard bearer, you will realize 100% of nothing in the upcoming election

i wish you were right, so we could get rid of that crook
but your party selected a near unelectable kook to run in opposition
all you needed for the win was someone with a modicum of sanity

Have you been to Nevada??

Pretty much. Mr V defines Liberal as "anyone who disagrees with him."

Now, read this post:
http://www.debatepolitics.com/scien...ve-nasa-sign-our-petition.html#post1058815135

Does that sound like a liberal? To Mr. V, that post is dripping with liberalism.

Really, you've never, ever, ever, ever, ever called a liberal/socialist/leftist?

Wanna take a bet on that?
A bet on what?
Your inability to make sense?
"Really you've never, ever, ever, ever, ever called a liberal/socialist/leftist?"
I'm sure I have. What does the political lean of those whom I call matter? I'm sorry but my cell phone cannot discriminate political biases.

Was your original point, and I don't define "anyone who disagrees with him" as a liberal. I just define liberals as liberals.

Keep pushing the insults OC, cause that's what you are doing now. Passive-Aggressive personal insults.

My cell phone has an accelerometer that senses tilt!

No, the sales guy gave you a broken one that was stuck all the way to the left... cause for you, it would never change positions. ;)

No, that would be yours. Everything you sense is all the way to the left.

How about your ability to read? Giving the subject of the bet and then offering to make a bet on that suggests that the original topic I gave was the subject of the bet. Not my fault you can't read.

Exactly. The political lean of who you label is irrelevant to what they actually are.

Except that you define liberalism as anything you don't like. Not surprising.

Well, at least I can read a graph.
