Flynn is but the first domino, of many, to fall.

I suspect that Trump will use Executive Privilege to shield his son-in-law and both of his sons from experiencing the same fate as Flynn and others. Can’t wait to see how this plays out with Sessions.

It will be interesting seeing if Trump will go even more loosie-goosie, or he'll clam up. I sensed his recent several days of tweets seemed even more erratic than usual, and I attributed it to the news last week that Flynn had severed legal ties with Trump.

Should he be dirty, Trump's only workable defense here will be political. He will need to hold the GOP Congress hostage via his base. I expect his pandering to the base to not just continue, but escalate.

Do they usually make one charge all by itself? Seems odd to me. But maybe they only charged him with one count because he is providing information and that’s part of a deal...? Otherwise, he and Martha Stewart have much in common.

As part of the deal, Flynn has agreed to cooperate with the Mueller investigation -- and alreadying is supplying information about the actions of top Trump transition officials.

Though the individuals are not named, court documents show Flynn claiming a “very senior member” of the Trump transition team directed him to contact foreign governments including Russia over a United Nations vote – which was the subject of one of Flynn's false statements.

The documents also say Flynn called an unnamed senior transition official in December to ask what to communicate to the Russian ambassador about sanctions. That official and Flynn discussed how they didn’t want Russia to "escalate the situation," something Flynn immediately told the ambassador in a phone call.

The message from Mueller is: "if you lie or attempt to cover up the truth, I will **** you up."

I'm not going to say the Trump presidency is over, but it just got into the most serious jeopardy any administration has since Iran-Contra.

If all he had on Flynn was a simple perjury charge he wouldn't be making a plea-deal. No, Flynn understands that Mueller has him on everything from FARA to conspiracy to kidnap, and some state charges that might apply.

Mueller isn't showing all of what he has because he doesn't want other people in the investigation to know just deeply he's probed the administration, which could prevent people from cooperating.

That means there is no longer doubt that Flynn has turned states evidence.

I think you have forgotten Bill Clinton's impeachment for obstruction of justice.
