Oh, so following and talking someone is now an offensive act that one should protect themselves from, with violence? Private detetives beware...LOL!!!
What?? How can you possibly say that??
I'm walking on a dark street. A car is slowly following me. And I'm walking. [/b]Then a guy gets out of his car and comes towards me.[/b] And I'm walking. [/b]Then the guy approaches me[/b] and I'm scared. I ask why he's following me. [/b]He asks what I'm doing there.[/b] A scuffle ensues. I'm dead.
Anyone who cannot see the ambiguous nature of this encounter just isn't trying hard enough. Martin did not make the first move. Unless you're counting "walking home in the dark with Skittles and iced tea."
he followed him in his car. he followed him on foot. these are provocative acts. all in the dead of night.
Martin had every reason to feel threatened by this.
So far, I see no grounds for assault.

Perhaps. And that was certainly stupid. If so, a young and stupid kid was being stalked and harassed by a wannabe that had been TOLD by the police to stop stalking him and harassing him...and the kid is dead. This isnt all that crazy and convoluted. Basic math. Who was the responsible agent? The 'adult' playing neighborhood watch superhero. It's starting to look more and more like Martin made the first move.
First you said he was cornered, then you say that he was running. Which is it?
Where was the threat? Following someone isn't exactly a threatening act.
Could it be that Martin was going to, "show that white boy a thing, or two"? "ain't no cracka' motha-****a gonna shadow my ass, ****".
if you follow me in your car, and then on foot, and then approach me in the middle of the night, I'm gonna defend myself.
have you ever been followed, stalked?
Yeah...and you might find your ass dead, or in jail, too.
Yes, I have and I knew then that I had zero right to assault that person. It would have been illegal. Duh!!!

Based on the circumstances described, I'd say Zimmerman has no case for shooting Martin. Florida law is clear that an individual may resort to deadly force to counter deadly force. Getting punched in the nose by an unarmed teenager is not deadly force.

if someone stalks you, you have the right to defend yourself.
of course you have, your Mr Been there done that when it suits you...silly of me to even ask.
in jail? nope. I was defending myself against a stalker.
dead? doubt it.
Now you sound like you'd like a contest. Really? Are you in a SYGL state?Yeah...and you might find your ass dead, or in jail, too.

exactly and its not like he just stalked him but he also confronted the kid, honestly blows my mind that people are defending this asshole

oh, trust me. They have their reasons.
He follows you, talking on the telephone. You stop and say "why are you following me?" He says, "what are you doing around here?"....
