I registered for the site using the user name "IWantToLickTrumpsAss". I got a personal email from Devin Nunes welcoming me and thanking me for my support but telling me I have to stand in line behind him.

And if I recall, Trump's previous blog called "From the desk of Donald J. Trump", certainly didn't win any popularity contest having only lasted for one month. - But yeah, I thought about signing up, but decided not to for fear that any additional number would make it appear Trump has more support than he actually does. This, and I'm guaranteed to be banned after a post or two, just like I was after signing up to 'Infowars' on numerous occasions. - But yeah, Truth Social my arse - while still awaiting Jimmy Kimmal's account to be fully activated. :~

For some reason Trump liked Twitter. Maybe it was a platform for the rich and famous and those who were captivated by anything they had to say. Did you know the word “fan” is a derivative of “fanatic”? Echo chambers are a way for people to hear shit they agree with. Which is probably why Trump got kicked off. The fanatics couldn’t handle hearing something different.

Which is why Truth Social will likely fade into the sunset. I mentioned early on into Trump's ventures into this space that what a social media site needs is a broad, diverse audience because that's where you can draw attention from not only those who share your views, but those who react adversely to it as well. Think of the recent Facebook leaks where we discovered their algorithms promoted conflict driven content into people's feeds. Trump liked Twitter because it drew that kind of instantaneous attention and reaction; a circle jerk of likeminded supporters just isn't going to draw that kind of attention. From a revenue generating perspective they're going to have issues as well if they rely on ads because Truth Social will narrow the ad sales viability considerably because it's a very specific demographic; one with which companies might not want to align.

The title "Truth Social" reminds me of the old FOX News slogan, "Fair and Balanced." If you have to say you are fair and balanced, you're probably not. Ditto with the title Trump's chose. Why did the Soviet communists call their paper "Pravda"? Same reason as Trump.
