Democratic voters only --- do you want Kamala Harris to be the next President?

The first person NOT to be a Democratic voter in this thread was the libertaryan reich OP, who seems to have moved to Canada.

Who is that?

What's your opinion on the poll question?

Corporate Dems did conspiracy against Sanders, but that's politics. I hate it, but it was a fair play. The motivation behind the conspiracy is more important than the conspiracy. Hopefully progressives learned a lesson about consolidating power in elections.

I don't think Sanders should run again, but progressives should NEVER run away from appropriate labels. It's self-defeating. The second you move to a new label, the Republicans will demonize the new label. I respect Sanders immensely for embracing the term Democratic Socialist.

Social Democrat or Democracy (different from Democratic Socialist) is the model of most Western nations.
The elite conspired against Sen. Sanders as well as the majority of other candidates, throwing their support behind Joe after he won his 1st state. I don't think Bernie should run again, the words Social Democrat have become "Commie" in the minds of many who would vote for Liz Warren.
I think Joe's doing all right, he does need a charisma transfusion, though.

To be clear, the one thing that truly decided that primary was the amusingly desperate but ultimately effective literal last second scramble just before Super Tuesday, with Biden winning by less than the delegates Pete and Klobuchar, who abruptly dropped out to support him, were collectively expected to take down. In otherwords, it had nothing to do with labels or lackthereof so much as the establishment pulling out all the stops to defeat Sanders in a blind panic when it became evident he would be nominee otherwise (and which subsequently resulted in Pete Buttigieg being gifted a cabinet position he had near zero qualifications for in exchange for his support).

While 'democratic socialist' is obviously not the correct term for Sanders' views and certainly carried some notable baggage and risk, it should be understood that this was a deliberate maneuver to rob the lazy Republican 'socialist' pejorative of its power by reclaiming and associating the word with overwhelmingly popular social programs in the public consciousness; something that Sanders was clearly and demonstrably successful at and should be applauded for.

I don't believe that Sanders should run again personally; I do think that he's too old at this juncture and it's time for others to take up his torch. To that end AOC, John Fetterman, Richard Ojeda and Warren would all be great inheritors.

No. You could vote in Republican primaries to get better candidates. But you won't. Because you are a Democrat and support their batshit crazy policies.

Republican primaries...lololol. Better candidates....lololol

Those who usually vote for a Democratic President voting in the poll only, please. Votes are public.

Do you want the 47th President of the US to be Kamala Harris? Why or why not?
I'd pick her over any republican that was a sycophant towards Trump. In general I'd prefer someone who's alittle more inspiring and better at messaging in general. There's nothing about her that tells me she'd be able to get things passed or make changes.

If there was a large Democratic primary like in 2020 she wouldn't be my first pick.

I have noted a concerted effort by R's to disparage the VP, along the lines of what went on with Hillary, bringing her from Most admired woman in the country, to someone who voters didn't trust.
I didn't bite on the poll. Fact is if she makes the nomination, she'll get my vote, I didn't vote for her in the primary last time.

Pretty sure there’s nothing Rs did to make Ds not like Kamala.

Says the guy who leans on lean when he has no answer for the heinous party he represents.
It's hard to lean on lean, I hear.

There is no need to answer for Conservatives, when the liberals are far worse.

The gop OP told you this thread wasn’t for you.

The OP isn't GOP.

And this thread is for everyone to comment on. The POLL is for Democrats.

No. I want some younger-ish progressives with charisma and good ideas to move america forward towards a better, cleaner, safer, more equal life for all.

I’m a swing voter who voted for Biden just to get rid of Trump. So, I did vote Democratic in the presidential race. As for Harris, no way do I want her to become the next president. I’ll add this, if 2024 is Harris against Trump, I’ll vote third party against both just like I did in 2016. I voted Johnson against both Clinton and Trump. About the only thing I know for certain is I will never vote for Trump. Now I would have voted Rubio, Kasich, almost any other Republican over Biden. Then again, I would have voted for almost any other Democrat in 2016 other than Clinton over Trump. I suppose the bottom line is I’m finicky, no loyalty to any political party.

I dunno, but if Cory Booker or Amy Klobuchar are part of it, I hope one/both of them comes out on top this time.
I listened to Klobuchar's speech when she announced her candidacy. It was pretty good. As for who will be the post-Biden nominee, i don't have a guess yet.

If John Fetterman wins his Senate race, I could see him trying to run in 2028. I'm living in Pittsburgh currently, and where I am at he seems to be very popular. He definitely did well for Braddock when he was mayor.

I actually think he's what we need in 2024.

Has anyone considered that country is more important than R vs D? C'mon people.
