Unfortunate to say the least. Actually, it's downright crude.
Prejudice is alive and well when it comes to overweight individuals, but especially girls.
I don't know about a lawsuit, but I certainly wouldn't have a problem with the firing of the person responsible.
It's prejudicial to assume that overweight people are fat? really?
I bet if they have that reciept and took it to a lawyer..off and running he would go and in the end the fat girls pockets would be a little fatter along with their attorneys...
And so what ? Did you see them ? They're huge. It may have been bad customer service buts thats it.
Grossly obese individuals have their lack of self control to blame and encouraging massive weight gain by pretending that this isn't a serious issue in our Country is dishonest.
It does have an effect on our health industry as premiums pile up for healthy individuals while obese individuals chew their way into a handi-cap.
Time to get real people. Type 2 diabetees is at plague proportions in the states.
Plus its just disgusting to look at.
maybe so-there are lots of stupid people who get on juries because most people who have real jobs etc can get off
I always got out of jury dutyI was in court so fricken often anyway.....I do have a
point to make...it seems alot of people in this thread with identifying the three women as fat girls...how about if the same restaurant identified 3 gay people in a negative way like three homos or the 3 or 3 black people in a negative way..would that be ok too ?

They should apologize and comp them for some free biggie sized cheese fries on their next visit.

Its easier to be unfat than unblack. Dont you think ?
I can understand them being upset for being called fat, but then again, come on...they have to know they are fat.

IT WAS FUNNY...
Obesity isn't because of "glandular" issues or things that are beyond anyones control.
I'm 6'6" and 245 pounds and I've been exercising since I was 5 by some form or fashion.
I dont eat trash, junk food and eat in moderation.
People need to get it through their heads that food is fuel.
Not a crutch or a hobby. Its fuel for the body.
As a Conservative I'm pretty dead against any added tax's but their shpuld be a fat tax added into the health premiums of every obese individual.
You want lower rates, take better care of your selfs.
Like car ins. You drive like a crazy person your rates are going to be high.
To most people, calling two girls in a restaurant fat is a derogatory and demeaning statement.
They should apologize and comp them for some free biggie sized cheese fries on their next visit.
The dinner bill for three friends at Chilly D's Restaurant stung, but it wasn't the price - printed on the top of the receipt were the words "Fat Girls".
"I got the bill, I was looking at bill [and] I was like, 'Why does this receipt say 'fat girls?'" customer Christine Duran said.
The friends had dined out at the Stockton, Calif., restaurant, which is a part of the Cameo Casino Restaurant, on Thursday. The bill lists charges for three tri-tips with fries and three sodas, for a total of $25.50. A bartender named Jeff had apparently typed in "Fat Girls" to keep track of their bill.
When Duran asked a manager for an explanation, he "had like a smirk on his face, like it was funny but trying not to laugh," she said.

And extra extra bacon.(sour cream on the side. no extra charge.)
I don't think you can sue someone or a business for calling you fat.
You can sue, but not likely you would win. If they refused to serve them because they were fat, they might have a discrimination suit.
