Like i said in fall of 2008; this guy is the new Jimmy Carter.
52 percent of Americans said President Barack Obama doesn't deserve reelection in 2012, according to a new poll.
44 percent of all Americans said they would vote to reelect the president in two and a half years, less than the slight majority who said they would prefer to elect someone else.
I would like to point out that even this, this might be slightly tilted pro obama; given that their generic question shows a dead 49-49 heat between a republican and democrat for a member of congress; while most other polls are showing a 5+ point lead.
no, specifically 52% say he doesn't deserve a second term; which is a hard hill for Obama to climb. just like Carter in 1980; all the Republican Candidate has to do at that point is prove that they are acceptable and they can win the presidency the same way Obama won the Nobel Peace prize: by not being their predecessor.

Obama faces a 44-52 deficit among both all Americans and registered voters, according to a CNN/Opinion Research poll released Tuesday. Four percent had no opinion.
I am of the opinion a lot can change in two years, so maybe we should wait a little longer before anyone starts bragging about a win.
This November will be a clear indicator.
Memories of G.W.B. are still fresh in the minds of people, so it totally depends on who the GOP chooses to run against Obama. If the GOP screws up and goes with someone too far to the right, then it'll be iffy.
Personally, I'm of the opinion that most of the American people would choose "none of the above" and try to see how our country gets along without a President for a term or two.
This November will be a clear indicator.
This is a fairly eye opening poll you're discussing
My, what a difference a year of attempted socialism makes.
I'm not surprised by this. He ran on promises of hope, change and free money/services. Nothing is free when the government is involved. Hope and change were tied to the promised free money/services. As reality creeps back into the mind of voters, they sour on their candidate.
There are two things that might save Obama. One, he is liked personally by most voters. Two, right now there are no Republican challengers. Even if you think Obama has accomplished nothing and is a liar(politician). What Republican can claim to be any different?
Also - if someone like Romney is the opposition in 2012 to Obama - despite a probable still Rotten economy - some of the South might edge Democrat because of Fundamentalists & Evangelicals not voting for any Mormon . That combined with a good 95 % of the Black vote hanging in there with Obama will possibly make a difference in Georgia & Louisiana.
You underestimate the Religious Right's hatred of President Obama's stance on abortion. They will vote for a pro-life Mormon over a pro-choice Democrat any day.
******* The GOP is indeed devoid of a viable challenger without defects. More importantly as we divide further as a society the extremes take over the base in both partys. The Tea baggers & the Sarah Palin thhusiasts will corner any Republican not pure enough and on that basis a move to the center later on in a General Election might prove impossib;e
******* ALSO - demographics mean more and more - California because of Immigration is gone for the GOP and on that basis Any Democrat has a decided advantage.

***** With All My Heart I want you to be fully correct on this.
The way Obama is going by the time his term is up we can run a broom stick and beat him ...
