Better Hamburger

Which has the better hamburger?

This ought to get pretty heated. So which hamburger is better? Texas based Whataburger or California based In and Out?

Let me just say, I think Spangles has the best fast food burger, but since it is only in south central Kansas, I'm going to assume none of you have had it.
 
The only one I've had is Whataburger, and I'm not impressed. The best ones are usually found in the little divey mom and pop joints.:)

They have In and out in DFW area? They don't in East Texas that I have heard about or in OKC. I think I have ate at in-and-out one time in my life, wasn't impressed and not impressed with Whataburger either. In-and-out may be one of the few California companies I would purchase a product of, if I actually ate fast-food burgers very often, because they are clearly owned by Christians and not liberals.

A fairer comparison and one actually based upon products offered and operated in markets where comparisons can be made would be Jackinthebox and Whattaburger, in which case Whattaburger wins everytime, the few times I was with someone and they went to Junk in the Box, the food was inedible.

Of the chains that operate in areas I usually am, Wendey's actually has the better burger of the ones available. When was the lasttime I ate a fastfood burger? I really don't remember, but I think I may have had one or two sometime during the last 3 years or so, not willing to put money on that though.
 
Fatburger. The best. And honesty in titling.
 
I am not burger connoisseur, but I can say without a doubt, my wife makes a crappy burger.

She is an amazing cook, except her burgers are horrible.

Probably the best burger I had in recent memory was steak n shake. I like how they have thin and crispy ones.

Besides Five Guys have the best burgers anyway so it's a moot point.

Last time I had a Whattaburger it was dry and tasted like cardboard.

Why not, she likes Bare Naked Ladies. 5 guys would be good for a Lesbian, they have checking out the other women in common and with lesbians, unless they use additional instruments, there is no in-and-out involved.

I'll just stick to a proper original thickburger from Hardees (or Carl Jr's, if you're in that part of the country). Keep it simple, stupid. The worst burgers are the ones that people overthink on.
 
We have whataburger where I live but not in and out. Not impressed at all with whataburger.

The best burger I've ever had was from Florida based Loop Pizza Grill. The Loop N cheddar. Flame grilled angus patty, romaine lettuce, aged cheddar cheese, tomato, purple onion, mayo and other condiments at your request on a bun with the perfect density.

I cannot eat Carl Jr's or Burger King burgers, I don't know what they do to them, but something in the "charchoal" grilled chains cause me severe gastro-intestinal problems, always have. Guess I will stick with Subway and other sandwich shops instead.
 
I have never been to a In and Out in my town. As far as national chain burgers go I love the Carls Jr The Portobello Mushroom Six Dollar burger. My favorite local chain Burger is Goldie's. Best local Mom and Pop is Bill's Jumbo Burger. As far as homemade burgers I use just coarsely ground salt and pepper and cook it over a charcoal grill.
 
I can't believe I forgot about Krystal's, love those little burgers.

I have had both whataburger and In and Out. In and Out wins hands down. No contest. I get the Double Double animal style, (pickels grilled onion and mustard) the obligtory fresh cut fries animal style as well (the burger spread melted cheese and grilled onion), and a large Coca Cola. Tasty Goodness.:) Its the best chain hamburger bar none. If I want a hamburger fast thats were I go. They pretty much do only hamburgers and they do them very very well. Everything is fresh buns hamburger vegitables everything. They also especially clean for a fast food restruant. I love that part. As far as nonchain restruants go Fatburger is right up there in my all time top ten. We got a place down here everyone likes called Johns. Good Eats. Thats my take.
