Baby-Name Regret Is on the Rise, Expert Says

Parents are trying to be trendy... show how "hip" they are so they name their kids La-La, and Sparkle, Blanket and Eggplant. Kids should have the option at say 10 years old to officially change their surname without their parents consent when they're named Fe-mal-ee (Female) or Listerine. Seriously... trendy or just too much drugs? Hard to tell....

with names like those their setting their kids up so they wont need stage names,i would love to slap those parents crosseyed.

i knew a guy in basic whos birth certificate said last name johnson, first name big middle harry,no joke.he had his name legally changed when he was young after his parents were charged with child abuse for intentionally naming their kid that.the system didnt catch it til the teachers noticed he was getting beat up in school for his name.

i guess his parents thought it was funny and didnt think what he would have to go through growing up.

"If your child doesn't seem like a Jude"? Really?

"Son, you are going to be called Dovahkiin whether you like it or not!"

I would never name a child Regret.

If you doubt me, just ask my son Accident.

Moon Unit is my favorite. At least he left the kid a few million.

Oh, and how many Ashleys my daughter's age. I think there were 10 in her graduating class.

Just think about all the girls named Katniss we'll be seeing this coming year. And of course, Gale and Peeta.

I anticipate lots of Bellas, Edwards and Jacobs coming into first grade in the next few years.

Bella is the single most popular name for cats and dogs in 2011.

We're going with the following:

Jack William
Carter Allen
Elizabeth Dorothea (Dorothy was Brandon's grandma)
Annalynn Mae

I don't like funky spellings at ALL (Mae was my grandmother's middle name) and I hate names that are also things (though I guess Jack is an exception).
