I know it happens. I'm just trying to flesh out where people who have staked a claim stand on it. One guy ric has thrown in with a post that the special prosecutor HAD to press charges to "appease" (his word not mine) the black community. At first Eighty seem to back that assertion up and I'm just trying to find out if that is what position he wants to take. He's been rather slippery about it up to now at least.
To add to the political reasons.....
Its not usual for prosecutors to have a press conference to announce charges against someone either.......... like a dog and pony show.
Oh yeah... another one whose gone all in without the evidence.
too funny.
Based on the evidence that I personally currently know via various news sources I would have to say that Zimmerman killed Martin in self defense, as such he should be let go.
But then I am quite willing to admit that I don't know all of the evidence and as such I could be wrong.
That is not justice.
Thats the purpose of an investigation.... not a trial.
When you go to trial to prosecute someone, you need to KNOW what happened. If a prosecutor isn't convinced beyond a reasonable doubt about the guilt or innocence of a defendant... they shouldn't bring the case forward.
You don't charge someone and THEN investigate... That is stupid.
Justice will be served in trial...one way or another. But, until someone is charged there can be no trial.
They did it with Casey Anthony and OJ and many other high profile cases that were "tried in the media". This isn't any different. :shrug:Sadly with how much this thing has already been tried in the media it's going to be a difficult time finding a full and impartial jury

Common sense is knowing what was actually said on the 911 tapes before you yap about it.
Common sense is not saying that the cops are corrupt just because you think they are. Common sense is when you state something as a fact you provide the evidence that it IS a fact when asked to do so instead of just disparaging others.
And common sense is something that your posts definitely lack.
I think that I could be fair and impartial even though I have been exposed to info from all these sources irl. They'll definitely be able to find people. There's people who are just disconnected and don't really pay attention to this stuff regardless. I'm just saying it's going to be a difficult time with jury selection due to how big and sensationalized this got so fast.
She has to have something we don't have and it has to be good. Or so it seems. Also given that if half the not debunked information pans out, it to me would seem "2nd degree murder" will be a tall tall order to fill.

Yes, that may be true, but it only takes Those like the Fox News and Hannity, Limbaugh, Savage...etc. to rile up the whites enough to riot.
Common sense is actually listening to the tape before you yap about your conspiracy theories. Grow up.
Common sense is not saying that because Trayvon was black you think he was about to commit a crime the night he was murdered.
Common sense is when you are able to back up your statements instead of posting TM pics and then claiming that as evidence to your racist drivel.
And common sense and rationality is something that your posts definitely lack.:coffeepap
Whether it's to appease the black community or some politician I don't know. But I agree with them that at least some of the reason for this DA to be pressing the charges is due to political pressure. But again, be it actual politicians or the "black community" or whatever I don't know.
Zimmerman obviously never hit him, like Trayvon hit Zimmerman. How could that be ... ?
Thank god he spoke out. It was frightening how an upstanding member of the community hasn't commented yet. Thanks Iron Mike for finally speaking out on this.
I did listen to it. I listened to the unedited version. You know, the one NBC didn't have.
Actually I don't think he was going to commit a crime. Never did. I think this whole thing was one huge mistake on both their parts. And the fact that he is black is irrelevent. Only people that want attention or are racists have tried to assert the race card.
Actually I've never posted Trayvons pics. And all of my statements were based off of either links that I have provided or off of other peoples links that have been provided through out the many threads around here. See, I actually educate myself with an open mind before I make up my mind. You however have yet to prove ANY thing that you have said.
And really, if I was "racist" then why the hell would I be defending Zimmerman? I'm white, Zimmerman is hispanic. If I was racist I would want Zimmerman to fall regardless of his innocence. So take your race card and go play it somewhere else.
The difference between me and you is I base my statements on proof. Where's yours?

There's no doubt that this killing was going to swept under the rug until pressure from the community brough it to light. Is that what you mean? Do you think it was right to sweep it under the rug?
Do you know that Trayvon had not one mark on his body except the bullet hole? How could that be if there was even a shred of truth to the self-defense claim?
That makes sense. Zimmerman beat Trayvon so badly in the fight that he failed to leave marks on him. Why didn't I think of that
