This is just breaking. It looks like the Army is sending Obama a message that they know his days of Usurping are numbered. The White House has to be enraged about this. I bet this is the Armys revenge due to Obama not listening and stalling on the Armys request to send more troops to Afghanistan or they know something we don't about his past. Wait till this goes mainstream because they posted this also on Military.com. This will go viral today. This guy is part of Orly Taitz lawsuit against Obama.

Story:

In a stunning display of latent disrespect for President Barack Obama and a complete disregard for the good order and discipline of the U.S. Armed Forces, the Army has recommended "birther", 1LT Scott Easterling for promotion. In February of this year, the Tennessee native joined forces with "birther" attorney Orly Taitz and wrote a widely-reported letter calling President Obama a "usurper" and "impostor" because he did not believe the President was a natural-born citizen. More of the story.

The Army tends to be somewhat non-political. You don't believe that he was promoted because he did a good job? Because if you don't, then you have slapped this soldier right in the face. On the other hand, if he is insulting the commander in chief, then he is committing insubordination... or is he? If he is only talking, but still doing his job, and not refusing to deploy, then maybe he has the right, as any other American, to say what's on his mind.

This is a very interesting article.

The UCMJ gaurantees the right of any soldier to file a grevience with hi chain of command. This officer can't be punished for excercising his rights.

Are you suggesting that the military should promote soldiers, marines, airmen and etc based on political views and not performance and time in service? I think the whole birther thing is a load of partisan sore loser crap(just like the Bush stole the elections or Bush lied for oil or some other sore loser leftist conspiracy) But the conspiracies a soldier chooses to believe are irrelevant are irrelevant to how well he does his job and time in service.

That's not what I got from the post. I think he's just pointing out that a birfer is getting promoted and that the Left is going to go bonkers over it.

If the guy earned it he earned it:shrug:

Pat Tillman had some fairly controversial views but if he earned a promotion he should get it.

The Examiner? Ugh.

Obama is indirectly accepting the promotion. If he really wanted to block it, he has the ability. I have full faith that the Army is promoting the man based on a standard army regulations for time served and merit. While I have little respect for a birther, humans have the ability to be complete idiots in one arena and quite competent in another. Personally I don't care if he attacks the president provided he does his job well, but military regulations may have a different opinion.

I find it Hilarious that (in my opinion) simple minded people who can't answer an even more simple question that has not been adequately answered by any stretch of the imagination always resort to name calling and personal attacks rather than using the brain they were born with to look at the question seriously before they spout the same old non-answers presented.

Asking a legitimate question is no reason for disqualification. I would have more confidence in someone that asks questions than any dimwitted blind obedient follower of any party line. Critical thinking means not accepting everything on it's face or because so and so said it was so with nothing to back up the answer.
If you disagree with someone use logic and intelligence to confront them rather than using your preconceived possibly wrong notions to attack them. Many times it's the name calling attacker that ends up on the wrong side of an issue. It is however a usual tactic from the Saul Alinskey rules for radicals Obama used to teach his fellow street people in Chicago.

OMG, here we go again: PBO doesn't have the authority to block a promotion. Only Congress can block a promotion.

I am trying to figure out why this is even newsworthy. How politically foolish the guy is, if he has earned a promotion, he has earned the promotion. I am also trying to see this outrage from us libs, cuz I don't see that either.

This post outrages me. J/k

So you approve of ideology and political orthodoxy standards for military personnel. You'll have to create a military commissar position then.

You'll have to show where "the left" is going bonkers over this.

You're going to have to re-read my post, comprehend what I wrote, then try again. You're a bolo at this time, sir. Time for remedial training and re-test.

Good point. Being "bonkers" is a known prerequisite for being on the Left in the first place.

We on the Right are merely cold and dispassionate.

Ok, I aquiesce.

You on the right seem to be unable to rise above mindless insults(except when you are whining about being insulted). Good job adding nothing to the topic, you are such an asset.

Sorry, you didn't say anything against the OP, therefore you must agree with it. You just got called out on the stupidity of your comments. Tough luck there little one.

Sorry you didn't disagree with the OP and mentioned nothing about it. It's on you. Not my fault you don't like being called on it.

I still can't believe you're not going to re-read my post and take note of the future tense of the language. I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Time for you to go to the UMCP.
