Do a majority of people really think that all Sanders supporters are "bros"??
I like Bernie Sanders, I think he can do a good job. I want a more fair and accessible version of capitalism like he wants.
But I'm here on record as saying not even a year ago that I thought his political aspirations to the White House were finished and that he should just enjoy his emeritus years and go back to being an elder statesman in Congress.
I'm also on record as being committed to supporting whoever eventually wins the nomination even if they don't thoroughly represent everything I am in favor of.
I daresay my thoughts and beliefs represent more than a tiny corner of Bernie's support.
Show of hands, please.
Please vote in the poll to indicate if you support Sanders but will throw your support to whoever wins the Democratic nomination.

There doesn't seem to be a poll.

The "NOT a bro" poll choices seem a bit limited. ;)

That is intentional, I'm asking Bernie supporters, not libertarians, not conservatives, not Trumpers, not independents.
I am asking Bernie Sanders voters about their beliefs and choices.

I'm a Bernie gal? Does that work? :2razz:

I guess Ill vote for whoever wins it if Bernie doesn't win, but I'm holding my nose if I do.

I think Sanders should be President.

I will vote for him in the PA primary.

But if he doesn't make it in the primary races, I'll vote for whomever the Democrat is in the general
Even, though it would be painful, someone like Bloomberg.
Because every single one of them would be better as President than Trump.

Just as I did last time!
But in the meantime, we still have quite a ways to go, so IN the meantime I will be working to get Bernie in the White House.

You really should have made the voting public; you just know pro-Trump guys are probably going to come around to trolling the Bernie or Trump option.

How do you know I won't do another poll? :lamo
It will be interesting to compare the numbers.

A lot of Sanders supporters get triggered by the term "BernieBro," which just reinforces their collective reputation as a group who loves to fling out venom and toxicity but cannot endure the slightest bit of criticism against their Dear Leader. All-give-and-no-take.

They do?
They get "triggered"?

As I said earlier, I am already on record not even six months ago, saying that in my opinion his chance at the White House was gone. I am on record here NUMEROUS times criticizing his past habit of pimping his "socialist credentials" as if somehow that was hip and cool in a country that has endured almost seventy years of red-baiting, Red Scares and the like.

And I've said countless times that it reminded me of some ex-hippie turned yuppie stockbroker who still keeps a small tuft of long hair tucked into their collar, and at quitting time they pop in a cassette of Trans-Siberian Orchestra, whip out their tail and "let their freak flag fly", thinking they're still a rebel.
Interestingly, he seems to have quietly retreated from his near-daily self-ID as a socialist.

Cannot endure the slightest bit of criticism? I think his idea of granting voting rights to violent felons in prison is bat-**** crazy. and that's just for starters. But I also know it has a fart's chance in a cyclotron of ever even getting a hearing.

There's much more but I cordially invite you to fling all the criticism you like.
But before you do, please show where I've flung out venom and toxicity over Bernie, except when it comes to Trump.
Show us all where I've "flung venom and toxicity and yet could not endure the slightest bit of criticism".

Dude. Slow down, and reread what I actually said. I was coming out against Sanders supporters "as a group," not singling you out.

Nope, YOU slow down.
You're making broad sweeping generalizations, and engaging in the circular firing squad.

And as of 8:00 PM PT on 2-4-2020 we are nine to three with Bernie or whoever wins the nomination. That blows a medium sized hole in your assertion right from the get-go.

That hole isn't going to get smaller.

Ohhhhh, you're going to try the gaslighting game! The same game that several Sanders supporters have tried with me and failed spectacularly at.

By all means, try the same failed tactic as they did and expect different results. This ought to be rich.

What specifically am I gaslighting about?

I'm getting bored. Let me know when you're ready to play games that actually entertain me.

Bored, or you lack specifics? Gaslighting is the domain of Trumpers, so if you say I am gaslighting, I'd like to know what you think I am trying to gaslight you about. I think...no wait....I KNOW, that you have a somewhat distorted view of Bernie supporters.

You don't like Bernie? Okayfinewhatever...you don't like him.
You find some of his more unhinged supporters annoying? Okayfinewhatever...I found some of Hillary's PUMA's equally annoying, but in the end when she was crowned, I held my nose and pulled the H lever and did my best to talk to her more rational supporters.

I get the impression that by walking away after accusing me of gaslighting, that you do not believe that there are any rational Bernie supporters.
If he wins the nomination, do you plan to vote for him?
Naturally you are not obligated to answer, I'd just like to know if you feel like sharing.

And I'd like you to back up your accusation.

Bro's is a brand, and one that is way way way the **** too male centric to be a smart brand in 2020.

It is "UP WITH WOMEN!" or else keep your (figurative) yap shut!

THE FUTURE IS WOMEN!!

If science could somehow pull it off, I'd vote for Vladimir Lenin's reanimated corpse if it was running against Trump.

You'd even like it better if he was alive to vote for, unless even better it was Hitler, Stalin or Mao, right?

I'm a Bernie gal? Does that work? :2razz:

They don't care, just like they didn't care about Hilary Clinton. They just want your vote and to do as you are told. Otherwise they don't care about you. They know you will vote Democratic no matter what, so what difference does it make if you like the candidate?

You'd even like it better if he was alive to vote for, unless even better it was Hitler, Stalin or Mao, right?

Um, no... I'm saying the incumbent hasn't set the bar very high. Do I want to vote for a reanimated corpse? Obviously not.... but now Mike Pence has removed that particular constitutional barrier, I think it's a potentially viable alternative.
