Funny thing is, this being a foxnews story of course, they don't cite their sources much if at all. Even if anyone took foxnews for their word (heaven forbid), simply saying "highly disruptive" doesn't mean "we don't want it". They are digging for anyone saying anything negative and they are fabricating conflict where there is none.
No worries, healthcare exchanges are coming soon and fox will have their hands full trying to explain why people are getting more healthcare coverage with less costs while still telling us how this is all just terrible for you.
the unions don't like their members going to the exchanges... which is why they are seeking to change the law for themselves.
I can relate.. we have very good coverage.... we too have to decide if we are going to downgrade to inferior plans, scrap coverage altogether and push employees into the exchanges, or pay the fines for having the audacity to offer very good plans.
I have 5 years to decide before the penalties start (2018), so we'll see how it goes.
we're also exploring a self-insurance idea, but it doesn't look good... Democrats are attacking that option through legislation in many states.. i'm not sure it would be worth it to go after something that will be eventually barred.
they just don't want to be bound by it... they like agreed upon coverage and want to keep it..... no matter if it becomes unaffordable for the company to pay for it or not.
unions aren't the only ones facing these things.. I too have to decide if i'm going to downgrade our insurance, do away with it altogether and push the employees into the exchange market, or pay the fines to keep it.....i have the audacity to offer very good coverage, and Obama doesn't like that.
my apple cart was doing just fine until Obamacare upset it...now decisions have to be made.... none of results of those decisions will be "good"
