55 years post Woodstock

You can do better than that. Please address my statement

At what church will I find woke religionists?
Since Jesus said, "whenever two or three gather together", I would say that would be whenever you are with one or two of your little mates.

Damn near everything happened in 1969. People don’t seem to realize it but so much happened in 1969.

I was in Vietnam in 1969 and whenever people talk about that era, whatever the subject, it happened that year and I experienced none of it.

I wish I could have been there. I’ll be forever jealous of everyone who made it to Woodstock or lived in the US then. I know it was awesome. ✌️
I was at Woodstock days 2&3. It was wet & muddy & we had to park about 12 miles away & walk carrying my 2yr old son most of the way.
I hope that helped. 😉

That said, it was great experience all told. The last great festival before Altamonte & Charlie Manson ended the summer of love. 😇

that is so wrong. the concert was an anti-war demonstration, those boomers were protesting a war that their parents got them into.

I'm genx, I directly witnessed the anti-war movement, I saw my older brother going through all of his options to avoid the draft. there was and still remains a huge divide between those gens over vietnam. its absurd to argue otherwise. the entire vietnam experience, including nixons deceptions, caused a massive long term anti-authority pov by boomers. it was a defining moment for their generation.
Lol

This post has no clue.
This the first time i ever heard it called an anti war concert.

Honest, you know nothing of it plus you did not speak to the subject i raised in the post.

I am an atheist and an introvert. I still do not understand why conservatives opposed to treating others as equals. Is enforcing discrimination and bigotry a cornerstone of conservatism?

I am an agnostic and an introvert. I am not a conservative, either.

I absolutely support treating people as fully equal individuals. That is why I oppose woke authoritarians and the grievance based caste system around which it revolves.

Woke is about treating others as equals so your claim doesnt make sense. Unless your idea of equal is the 1950s lie of separate but equal which was never equal in the first place.

What are woke authoritarians? Complaining about a grievance-based caste system, from a MAGA conservative? LOL

You are ignorant ot politics so you assume much - and then even laugh about it derisively. You live in a very simple-minded world where one either matches in lockstep with you or they are a "Maga conservative."

Woke is all predicated on the notion that some people are oppressed and some are oppressors. Instead of this being an individual phenomenon, though it separates people into groups and assigns oppressor status BY GROUP.

Whites, Jews, Males, Straights and older people are oppressor, and Blacks, Gay, Female, young and various minorities other than Jewish are assigned the role of victim. Accordingly, the opportunities for those deemed oppressor are reduced so to benefit the so+called oppressed, and this having NOTHING to do whether people in the first group have ever oppressed anybody or whether anybody in the latter group has been oppressed.

Indeed it was a very dumb post.

Today, the word respect is lost post boomers. Maybe because they never had to go to war as the boomers did?

Honestly, what has gone wrong with our youth?
I don't know a single person who hates every single boomer, but this part of your post highlights just some of the criticism towards that generation
1. Are you essentially saying it's good for every generation to be "culled" to some degree over yet another pointless war that will fail half way around the planet that we had no business being in and will cost trillions?
2. Boomers are responsible for doing away with the draft, remember how hard they protested against it? "Don't trust anyone over 30" remember that one?
So, in your own view, young people are at fault for what the boomers did.

Indeed it was a very dumb post.

Woodstock was a gathering focused on music and nonviolent protest in the name of peace and love. Many of the artists and the spectators were there in protest of the ongoing Vietnam War. Several of the most famous Woodstock performances reflect this viewpoint. Woodstock was also widely celebrated and attended by hippies who were openly agaisnt the Vietnam War. Festival organizers advertised that anyone who purchased a ticket (before the event became free) was contributing to the protest of the Vietnam War. Several of the artists gave anti-war speeches as well.

Someday you might learn that your opinions are not facts just because you can't see beyond them.

You are ignorant so cannot offer up an actual argument, just silly accusations.

What I would suggest is for you to start learning a bit about the world around you.

Are you essentially saying it's good for every generation to be "culled"
Good God, can you post wothout using fallacy?
Boomers are responsible for doing away with the draft, remember how hard they protested against it

What was wrong with this?
BTW i support universal conscripton.

I don't know a single person who hates every single boomer,

Good God, you really can't post without using fallacies.

So you support conscription for failure forever wars but you also somehow don't believe in a bit of culling? Do you know what a war even is?

Ok, that is it. Your posts are fallacy laced.
You don't seem to post wothout fallacy, EVER.

Hello.

Did you read this from my previously posted source?

Speaking of Woodstock, I wonder how many of the attendees supported Islamic terrorism, hated the concept of free speech, supported men taking sports medals from women, thought it was cool to have books in schools depicting underage gay sex, or supported the notion that some people are essential and some are non-essential?

He definitely didn't keep his promise, I saw 25th anniversary Woodstock on TV.. He was so stoned he could barely function... Lol.. I like some of their stuff though... 'Everybody's Everything', 1 of my favorites..

BTW Santana was totally unknown before Woodstock.. Their drummer Michael Shrieve, was only 19..youngest preformer at Woodstock..

From this you took the event as an antiwar protest?
Lol

Lot's of performers were Vietnam vets. Did you know or care?

Many events donate part of the receipts to a worthy cause.

BTW who made these anti war speeches?
In 55 years 8 have never across a one.

I looked at the acts and appearances in order several of appearances. The blessing and prayer were listed with time stamp as was every act. Nothing about any speeches. Btw, why did you answer my post? I was simply calling him out fallacy.
This has nothing to do with fallacy. Do you know what a logical fallacy is?

I was out of the house at 17.
Same. But i don't think of this as a good thing.
Pyscology shows us that multi generational families are best.

Why the great generation though tossing kids out so young was a good thing is beyond me.

Any thoughts?

When they were young they were not tossed out. How did they come up with this idea?

Also, why do we mock 30 somethings for living at home today?

I wish I had a theory for that one.

All I can think of is that with the memory of the recent war, they saw it best to get the kids out on their own as soon as possible to get them out in the real world.
