51% Favor Government Shutdown Until Congress Cuts Health Care Funding

What if they stop paying our soldiers income?

soldiers pay is mandatory spending it wont stop. Medicare wont stop SS wont stop a shut down will only effect a handful some national parks will close the lawn at the WH might not get mowed. the sun will come up and the birds will continue to sing

You wanted Reagan debt information, I posted it. What you do with it is your business.
I read it. That's what I did with it.

Of course, there's a reason debt increased exponentially in 2009 and 2010. I'll leave it to your oh-so-experienced self to figure out what major world event came around the same time.
Oh, go ahead and explain it all to me if you like. Let's see what you know since you brought it up. Provide links to your data.

and if Reagan is such a bad man for his $237.5 billion deficit per year what does that make Obama with his 1 trillion deficit per year

the word for today boys and girls is Hypocrisy

I see, so it is your contention that a dollar today is valued the same as it was 30 years ago?

Not to mention the impact of Obama inheriting the worst recession any president was left with except for FDR ... compared to January, 1981, when there was no recession.

soldiers pay is mandatory spending it wont stop. Medicare wont stop SS wont stop a shut down will only effect a handful some national parks will close the lawn at the WH might not get mowed. the sun will come up and the birds will continue to sing

And Medicare, social security and parts of the affordable care act are also mandatory spending

I always amuses me how often Americans express how much they dislike Obamacare, but then show support for almost every actual provision in it. Except for the individual mandate, because that's how you pay for all the other benefits.

It amuses me even more that people pretend to understand a statute and the accompanying regulations that comprise over 2 million words.

I would not bet on that remaining true for long in the slightest.

love your logic it is the same logic as saying the only reason why that gasoline didn't put the fire out but made it worse is because you did not throw enough on it

If you consider reversing 17.6 percent of our GDP we now spend on healthcare not sound logic...WELL.

If you're going to play dumb and pretend that nothing happened ~2008 that might cause a spike in debt, I'm not going to waste my time.

Bull****! We will not only keep the senate, we will win the house. Well.....that is unless the Republicans can figure out a way to cheat or keep Democrats away from the polls....which is what they're very good at.

Already setting up excuses huh?

That's speculation and hasn't been proven.
I doubt anyone really understands a bill that is 3 times longer than the bible and has over 2 million words to enact and regulate it.

...and so far there are over 1200 unions and companies that are exempt from participating...For pete's sake the IRS, who will be enforcing the statute, is exempt from it..

but yeah,..I'm sure it's a real good law and will save us zillions of dollars....LMAO.

Reminds me of the joke;
An aide to obama told him that 5 Brazilian soldiers had been killed in a shootout...obama says "That's HORRIBLE!...it's an outrage!" then he whispered to Valerie Jarrett "Hey Val, how many is a "brazilian?"

Evasion. You introduce a topic and when challenged you retreat and pretend to be above it all...LMAO...

are you serious you want to pass on a CNN poll as a reliable unbais poll you got to do better then that

they just asked who would get blamed not if they are right or wrong for doing so

and it is almost 2 weeks old

bwahahahahaha...

Whining about CNN bias after citing rasmussen. That's comedy gold.

People like the aspects of Obamacare. The bulk of people who claim not to like Obamacare do so because the GOP is, AGAIN, at war with a word and have spent millions demonizing that word. You won't get your way. Complain all you like.

the president has the biggest megaphone of them all and the power of federal government agencies and the support of Hollywood and his lap dog media to promote get the message out. how much money has been spent by him and government promoting the train wreck?

its not the republicans that are making America hate Obama care it is the public losing their jobs, getting put on part time, getting letters from insurance companies dropping coverage, and the skyrocketing insurance cost that is making America hate Obama care

Not near as much as the GOP, the insurance lobbies and the koch brothers. No comparison whatsoever.

I always wonder what's going through the mind of someone - like OP - who would support such an absolutely insane position. I just don't get it.

You brought it up, not me. List them.

Older than you, I wager. Nevertheless...don't try to change the subject. Support your claim with facts.

The Free Market: The Sad Legacy of Ronald Reagan

here ya go now please take your blinders off. I cannot help the fact that you avoid basic history
List some examples...and list some of the expansions democrats have engineered. You made the claim...support it.

Doesn't matter what I've run across or what you believe or refuse to believe...If I posted something and didn't support it and then retreated when challenged you'd never let that slide...support your claims.

Stop trying to evade. Support your claims.

I'm not blind, my dear. ad hom won't give you enough cover to hide behind or distract anyone. You made the claims, not me. Support them.

Here you go basic history. to bad you choose to ignore it.

51% Favor Government Shutdown Until Congress Cuts Health Care Funding - Rasmussen Reports™

majority of America has the Republicans back .
this is why Harry Reid is scared ****less and will pull every trick in the book to keep the house debt ceiling bill to ever reach the senate floor because he might not have enough opposing votes for it not to pass. remember there is an election coming in 2014 there is a lot of democrat seats in red and purple states that will be challenged and they will go on record for the 2nd time in support of Obama care if they oppose the house bill and will lose their seat for supporting such an unpopular law

I'd like if the government were to shutdown permanently.

:cone:Hhmm…according to an article that was written in the Wall Street Journal this week by Kkkarl. “60% of independents oppose BOcare.

And… “58% of independents also say they oppose defunding BOcare if that risks even a temporary shutdown. “

Now you’re blundering into the mid-terms saying WTF/WhoTF needs independents anyway .Go gettem tiger.:cone:

Hopefully the unemployed independents start getting it.... everyone knows with this economy we all should have voted for Romney... I mean, truthfully, could anybody, could an undereducated yet senible janitor have done any worse than the boob? Nope. And, thanks, but sure not going to take "friendly advice" from a lib...:thumbdown

Jumping head first into the quicksand of obama-la-landcare, this socialistic quagmire that we will never be able to extricate ourselves from once we start giving away "free" medical care, where the end game is for the government to become in control of our records and eventually in control of the only thing we all truly own, our bodies... but even the wishy-washy independents have to understand that after all the promises have been broken, that it costs way more in dollars and rights than what you get in return after the :hitsfan:....and if you are drowning and some liberal is throwing you a bag of silver or even gold, its probably not prudent to grab it on the way down.

Exactly..only hyperpartisan true believers still think that a bill that takes 2 MILLION words to enact and regulate is good for anyone except lawyers, politicians and further growing the government bureaucracy.

"The strategy entails manufacturing a crisis and then implementing a solution that actually makes the crisis much worse and moreover, makes implementation of a real solution to the crisis next to impossible; and every solution to the crisis must invariably entail purposefully overwhelming federal government programs in an effort to cause those programs and the federal government to implode under its own weight."
