How the heck did the Post come up with that headline? Clinton had his behind handed to him by both people that unleashed an attack on him. Clinton did his best to try to answer them, and probably would of if given the opportunity.

Veterans continue to be used, abused and ignored by Washington, both parties. Veteran's are great for photo ops. After that veteran's are largely forgotten. All y'all can have the football game flyovers, the color guard at public meetings, the token veterans recognized at sporting and public events, the yellow ribbon bumper stickers; you can have all that "thank you for your service" stuff and the "welcome home". Just give veterans a shot at decent jobs, give them a chance to catch up in the civilian world they put on hold while they were active. Don't make them fight for benefits. Don't deny disabled vets good quality healthcare. Don't make them die waiting on VA appointments. Don't let them live homeless on the streets without adequate mental health. Don't deny them medical marijuana for PTSD. Be committed to helping find qualified veterans good job opportunities. Tell politicians who attempt to stand on the back of veterans for personal political gain to get down and shut the **** up.

Mr/Ms Politician: It's OK that you chose not to serve. If you sought deferment after deferment, we don't respect you, but most vets will not badmouth you publicly. But, M/M Politician, stop invoking veterans in an attempt to gain anything publicly. We have been used enough by you assholes. Just give us what is our due and shut the hell up.

THAT in essence is what that Marine was saying. Good on him. We need more of that!

Well this is awkward... They're all right.

Bill was right - the man was being mouthy and rude and needed to simply state his view and question and give due respect to President Clinton. (Yes - still calling him President even though he's out of office, as is the tradition. It is a rarely held title well earned).

And Mrs. Clinton did lie, admittedly in her own words via email, for which she needs to be held accountable so the Marine is right to bring that up, too.

And so on, so forth. They're all right in some fashion. Just, they were all dicks about it, too. Even Mrs. Clinton.

This is the difference between Clinton and our current President.
Clinton sat and waited patiently for the man to finish. He answered and didn't really get to ruffled until Bin Ghazi was mentioned.
This is pretty much what made him a good spokesperson and a good public figure for the U.S.

He wasn't mugged, he was faced with an angry soldier who wanted some answers. In fact, it is a series of questions he should have been well prepared for (not necessarily knew the answers to but been prepared either way).

I'm confused NIMBY - seems to me, in the past two decades, the only GOP President has been GW Bush, who served in the military, and there were two Democrat Presidents, Clinton and Obama, who didn't serve, and before Clinton, there was GHW Bush, who had an exemplary military and service career. If you want to slag anyone for draft dodging and gaining fortune off the backs of veterans, you need only look to your friendly liberal Democrats for that example.

I can't help but wonder if the Marine isn't possessed of similar sentiment to Tulsi Gabbard? I suspect many young survivors of that fraud now realize they were lied to and abused.
