  • That's great! I hope he's well and keeping safe, İnşallah! When is he due home?

Have a great weekend. By the way, now you're 18, what have you done legally for the first time this week?
Are you unsuspended now, Arkaşım? Welcome back! You've been missed. I'm sure you've seen the thread in the Basement, your ears must have been burning.

Is Efendi another of your brothers?

Any news from MG? Is he still safe?

See you soon on the forum.

    Andrew
Hey, In belated answer to your question Turkey is going a quite well, decided to stick around for a while , are you back in Ankara at any point over the summer? Any luck with UCAS btw?
I've been back several times. No joy. I think I only saw it the first time because I surprised it-- and given the way it made me feel, I'm not certain I'd want to surprise it again. There was a sense of awe, but any sense of awe is going to be intermingled with a very large dose of fear.
    > But really. As a logical, intelligent and rational man. What do you think you really saw?

My best guess? It was a damned elf. Might have been some other kind of local spirit. Pains me to admit it, but I don't know that much about the local flavor.

    > And if you think its an elf, know its an elf, how could they live amongst us on this planet without us knowing it?

Might not be purely physical. Maybe they crumble to dust when they die. I don't know. Only thing I know for certain was that it wasn't human, wasn't animal, and disappeared faster than any physical object has a right to.
Maybe 150 feet from me. Like your brother, I didn't get too good a look-- all I saw were those eyes. Skin seemed like it was darker than mine, like maybe a dark olive, but it was hard to tell with the eyes. It was sitting by the side of the pool, maybe bathing. I couldn't tell if it was wearing clothes or not.
About the elf... I was hiking through Poudre Canyon, following this creek, and I must have been a mile or a mile and a half off trail. I came up to this little natural pool and I saw something. When I looked, it had long dark hair and the brightest eyes I've ever seen. It looked me right in the eye, and I can't describe the feeling that passed through me; I was transfixed by those eyes. When I blinked, it was gone. I've been up there countless times since, but I've never seen anything like it again.
"I can spot a slav a mile away but then again im from London and we are all raised around Polish people and other Easteners. And wow, quiet the traveller you are. How weird all the countries i mentioned you have lived there at some point.

Ok biggest question is however, can you tell the difference between a German bloke and an Englishman? How about an Irishman to a Frenchmen, or a Scottishmen to a Swede?"

My dad worked for the UK foreign office (FO) and we travelled pretty widely.

As for telling the difference between those natives - I can do that better with the women than the men. (and not by clothing...)
    Hi Kaya,

I like the Penguins Having Sex theory. I'm not going to do anything to deny it. Truth is I did post a very rude and very funny photo in the Basement. It seems that posting rude pictures is a worse sin than calling for the deaths of all orthodox Muslims and Barack Obama. But hey! No one said DP was a democracy. Have a great day, arkaşım. Andrew
Oops, I mean Letorn. Lumen was an old server that I used to play on. I'll get on MSN.
Play on the Lumen server and as either the Cora or Bellato race. I play on both, but my main character is a Cora. Din't be discouraged if many people seem offline, most live in Europe are are in bed right now.
I've done the shivering isles. I think I might re make an oblivion file and play as a ranger.
It's well worth the wait, it's a great game :D I haven't played Oblivion in a long time. I think I might start over with a new character. I find myself playing Morrowind more
Lol yeah, there are a lot up updates the the game. It took me about 1-2 hours to download them all. Once they are done you can play though. I'm actually playing right now lol.
I used to like the old game, Thief. I never finished it because it took too long to play. You had to skulk around in the shadows and steal things. You were given a bow and special arrows, a sword, and a blackjack. You were lousy with the sword, but it was easy to use the bow to dispatch guards or you could knock them out. The sequences in the crypt where you were robbing the graves and ran into zombies, reminded me of "Return to Castle Wolfenstein."

Incidentally, the new Wolfenstein game is good, but with one drawback, too many Bosses. It got so bad. I put myself on God mode just to get through those parts. It too is like Battlefield Bad Company, no saves, except when you complete the mission, which means you get real familiar with the mission when you die a lot.
I bought Battlefield, Bad Company 2 today, but haven't had a chance to play it. I must wait until 4:00AM tomorrow morning to be able to download the upgrades. I have a satellite connection that limits me to 200 MB download limit a day, but from 2 to 7 AM, downloads are unlimited. The game won't let me play it unless I have the latest upgrade.

I built an awesome gaming machine last year, Intel Core 2 Quad processor, 4 Gig RAM, NVIDIA GTS 250 2 Gig of Video RAM. Yeah, my PC can handle anything that comes its way and then some. If I got a gaming PC, my wife would divorce me. She has to have her TV, and I doubt if she would share my interest in gaming, though she did like the old Doom game.
The new Stalker game, Call of Pripyat is real good. It's better than the first 2, but I liked all 3. I played the first Call of Duty but haven't tried Battlefield. I also played FEAR, and that was a good game as well.

I don't have a console. I just play PC games. I especially like the Left Behind 4 Dead 1 and 2 series. I have played them online, but never could find anybody who knew how to team up. It was every man for himself, and that's a cooperative game, or you don't survive, no matter how many zombies you take out.
