And they deserve that approval. These are all things the silent Dems support but lack the guts to fight for it. Voters mostly approve of these things.

Similar to many of MAGA's overarching ideas in the highest general sense, those ideas above are all good. But, it's the implementation that causes the acrimony.
For example, "Trans". Yes, I suspect most believe a trans individual should be allowed to pursue their lives without interference. But does that mean Americans want anatomically males knocking their daughters around on high school athletic fields? It would seem for most, 'no'.
It's all in the matter of degree and implementation. I believe Dems went too far in forcing some of their ideologies, and now MAGA is going too far in the other direction. Dems had it mostly right, though.
Another Dem hinderance is abortion, and it's a big one. Probably most would agree abortion needs to be legal to some degree, including on demand. But in my real-life experience within the Dem Party, not only did many have what I can only call a serious "zeal" for abortion, but there was absolutely no tolerance for any talk of accepting abortion may be a societal necessity even while one personally would likely not choose the procedure for themselves "on demand".
It was extremely uncomfortable to be publicly causticized for one's personal beliefs, even as I was willing to accept others' I may personally disagree with. Consequently, I left the Party (for that and other reasons).
When I was younger the Dems really were the Big Tent (JFK) Party, where the focus was on the big things, the overarching American ideals. And we accepted our diversity of opinion and ideals - as they were subordinate to our bigger common ideals.
Well from my recent personal experience, if you believe abortion isn't personally for you, and you enjoy the shooting sports, you better keep your mouth shut unless you want to be held to a public litmus test. Not a test of acceptance, but a test of your being wrong! No matter how much you're on board with everything else. You'd think a desire to preserve freedom & democracy would be enough to unite around, but apparently - no!
Was my experience unique to my local Party members? I dunno'. I ran into the same problem on occasion at my dog park. There needs to be more acceptance of political & ideological intra-party differences. We're not all in lock-step with each other. That's what MAGA's for. Dems need to be the contrasting antithesis to MAGA's demanded lockstep. Not, simply be another flavor of MAGA.
