This is not really true. The information could have been hacked and placed on either a computer or a hard drive, with or without fake info, to get it out without the mess that came last time. It looks much worse for a political pundit or operator to release this sort of information, especially if it was hacked than it would for them to have some sort of "plausible" story for how it came to be in their possession.

It may not all be made up. Some of it may very well be true, likely is true.

Because the point wouldn't be to care if it was authenticated eventually. They are using the info for political purposes. They don't really care if anything like criminal charges come out of it. If they cared about that, then it would have come out sooner, since we know that they did have this info at least weeks ago, if not months. So long as no one can authenticate or prove them wrong within the next couple weeks, then they have placed doubt in some about voting for Biden.

There is info that Burisma was hacked last year though. That they did experience a data breach.

There would need to be more than just Burisma being hacked for all of this to be chalked up to Russian hackers. We are getting a little too deep into the CT weeds for me. I will just wait and see what, if anything, comes of it.
