Would You Vote Independent Howard Schultz For President in 2020?

Would You Vote Independent Howard Schultz For President?

I believe that Schulz is not a full blown independent candidate! Well well well the republican he’s running on the independent side but, realize something Howard is a democrat period end of story

Schultz sounds like a Dem because he's what the Dems used to be. Any candidate out of the actual Dem party will be a progressive socialist leftist communist Marxist mix.
I long for the days that a candidate like Schultz would have represented the ideas and values of the Dem party.

I very much doubt it. The main objective for me is removing the Repubs/Trump from power.

The dems have many issues, but their crazies haven't taken over yet. Trumpism is just psycho, and the republican party as it's currently constituted is without a redeeming quality except their take on gun rights.

Maybe.
Depends on platform and who is running on the Republican and Democrat ticket. I evaluate the three and then make my vote.

Who is Howard Schultz, and what makes him a viable candidate? Would you vote for me if I decided to run?

Yes, but let’s look at the platform of the two and tell me what would be useful

Don't know him. What are his stances? How has he voted previously? What work has he done? What is he supporting now vs what has he supported in the past?

I just assumed most of the members of DP had basic knowledge of things. I'm not a Howard Schultz groupie. I don't even drink coffee, let alone $10 coffee. It was just a question, if you know the answer then vote. If you don't then don't vote or look up his info and vote. The thread is large enough that posters can get a vague idea already.

Voting indy would give Trump a chance to get re-elected. Which I refuse to do. Anything but another four years of him.

They already are. And you know what it sad that we watch Venezuela went to a pool of nothing and, one of our political party want that! You know what I want to ask Schultz is how come you have to buy coffee but yet you want a system that failed but works in other countries

He's eminitely more qualified than the Democrats currently running.

A brain-dead chimpanzee is more qualified than the Democrats currently running.

A multi-billionaire Democrat who avoids paying FICA tax? No way.

My wife is at the Starbucks MotherShip, I feel like I know this guy rather well though I have never met him.

He too much believes what he wants to believe.

No.

Probably not. I heard an interview with him on NPR yesterday and was not impressed. Especially not with the way he refused to give any straight answers to how he was going to get rid of the deficit.

I totally support his candidacy, not because he is right on issues but because he is democrat light compared to democrat heavy and can therefore be a benefit to the republican running against the democrats.

What are his opinions, positions, and political qualifications? What does he stand for?

It's much too early too form an opinion about him.

That (bolded above) seems like a 'maybe' (at this time) position to me. ;)

No. I will never vote for a 3rd Party Candidate, as it is effectively a vote for the candidate who they are not sucking votes off of.

In an actual election, I will always vote for the Republican Candidate, even if I don't necessarily support them, solely as a vote against the (likely) Marxist Democrat candidate. If only a Marxist Democrat candidate is running, I will write in a vote for anyone (or anything) else BUT them.

Some folk would rather be Russian than vote for the Democratic Party.

Still you and I are among other voters who would never vote for Schultz or anyone like him who'd run as a snowflake. My own concern about an Independent running for Potus is their ego. They're certain they're above it all which they usually are. Which means they know little to nothing about issues foreign and domestic. And the worst of it is that whether it's Schultz or Bloomberg none of 'em care which major candidate wins. It's all ego. Qualified people run away from egomaniacs whose bottom line is that they don't care.

Pass. Haven't seen anything in his past that tells me he would make a good president.

So he's a business man. BFD. He knows how to sell overpriced, burnt coffee - that's about all his background with Starbucks tells me.

Start out as a city councilman. Move up in the ranks.

You don't get to start out in first place, even if you are a billionaire.

I've known who I was voting for ever since the Democratic primary came to a close. I'm a progressive, so . . .

I'm only mildly undececided on VP. Too bad Ojeda dropped out; the debates would have been more interesting.

For almost every candidate out there, it is a "maybe." That's the answer my Magic 8 Ball always gives me. If Hil jumps into the fray, my vote is a definite no, probably the same for old Joe. I would prefer to see new blood from both parties, with fresh doable ideas that don't appeal to the extreme and with quality administrative skills. Our nation doesn't need to be made great again, it is great. The issues are those that can make it better for all citizens. There's always room for improvement in an ever changing world that remains the same.

I cringed when I heard that Hillary might be considering another run. Cringed.

When there are 2 terrible candidates on the ballot, like 2016 for example, I will usually vote for 3rd party. 2020 is lining up as a year with 2 bad candidates. However, Trump needs to be out of office by any means. I am 100% voting for literally any person on that ballot who has the absolute best chance at getting Trump out of office.

I am not interested in your racism nor your conspiracy theories.

They have every right to run if they wish to run and meet the requirements to run.

Another arrogant billionaire who thinks he knows better than everyone else. I watched an interview on Morning Joe. He sounded just as out of touch as other billionaires regarding we the actual people. Plus, I'm tired of amateurs.

The term "Marxist Democrat" is an oxymoron.
