After a brief perusal, you are right. Calls for resignation were made. But then, calls for resignation seem to be the mark of both moral cowardice and political expedience, because it puts the onus on the one being called upon to resign and not on the politician calling for the resignation. In other words, it is the same as "condemning in the strongest possible terms." It is an empty act. The more tangible act would be voting to impeach Governor Cuomo. If you are going to call on someone to resign, you had better be willing to back it up with an "or else."

I look forward to the day when both Democrats and Republicans manifest the courage called upon by their office to draw up articles of impeachment for members of their own party, be they governors or presidents.
