One of the Democrats’ more lunatic themes is their insistence that if President Trump loses the election, he likely will refuse to leave office, in effect staging a coup. Most recently the claim was made by Bernie Sanders. Politico headlined: “Sanders: America must be prepared for when Trump refuses to leave office.” Link.

There's little doubt that at least part of this is projection. The Democrats have been trying to stage a slow motion coup since Trump was elected. They don't have the balls to do something as audacious as refusing to leave office, but they can see that Trump has the courage to do something like that if he was inclined to do so.

But there is nothing that Trump has done in office that would suggest that he would break the law that way. He has always followed the law and stayed within his authority in his executive actions. All of his actions are predicated on the basis of legal council. Even the celebration he held in the White House Lawn for the RNC was cleared with the election commission before hand.

So don't worry, dems. If you manage to beat Trump he will leave quietly. Or maybe not quietly but legally at least.

Based on things he has said. Fir example, that his supporters woukd demand that he stay on after 2 terms. That he would seek a third term. That President fir life is something we should have in America. He said he may not accept the election results.

Strange how his most ardent supporters don't actually listen to anything he says. Mostly they take their own opinions and pretend that he also supports it.
