Why leftists support Islam?

Maybe somebody can explain, why Leftists support a such Religion?

 
Maybe it is because i am new here, but i definitely get the feeling that any response to OP will be met with insults and be characterized by an extreme lack of rational discourse. Should i be taking OP seriously or just ignoring him?

I'd watch the thread to see how many others will agree with him.

That way, you can identify all those with "an irrational, intense and persistent fear of certain situations, activities, things, animals, or people " we cannot name for fear of being threadbanned. If they don't turn up here, there's usually a feeding frenzy over in the europe forum whenever muslims are the subject of discussion.

Who says we support it? we may take objection when people tar all muslims with the same brush, or we may object when people who happen to be muslim are treated in a barbaric manner (As in Iraq, Guantanamo or Palestine) but that doesnt necessaily mean we have to like Islam. I find it genuinely frightening that our society has got to a point where simply asserting that someone should be regarded as an individual and not as part of a block, and that as an individual he should not be blown up, tortured and imprisioned without trial, or driven from his home is somehow considered as support for Islamism.

There is a huge difference between supporting the Constitution, and supporting Islam.

Different reasons. For one thing, human beings have a tenuous hold on moderation and restraint, and passion is a domineering presence in the psyche which develops all the more fiercely if it encounters similarly fired up resistance. For example, in your hostility to Islam, radical Muslims find the proof and validation of their way of thinking.

It is more effective (and also required by Christianity) to adopt a behavior that rewards of the efforts of those Muslims who are not radical than to react against the actions of those who are. People take opposition to their religion seriously, so coming down on Islam heavily discourages the voices of progress that exist within Islam and greatly strengthens the voices of radicalism.

Even if a majority of Muslims have radical tendencies (and I can't say they do or don't), there is no moral or strategic value in taking a cultural hard line against Islam.

Untrue! Christiality requires that we treat all Muslims with hatred, violence and suspicion, just like jesus would have wanted.....

Practicing Christianity begins from the premise you are going to (or at least have to be prepared to) lose everything material to the world's impositions, so fear and hatred aren't Christian rationales. "For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it." (NIV Luke 9:24) People fear Islam because of the threat they perceive it poses to the order of their existence, aka, their life.
