Who won the first debate?

I agree with Josie.

Pretty flat.

The problem these days is that Trump is such that you can’t really portray him as funny since he’s inherently a clown.

Humor isn’t repeating the stuff said in the debate, it’s a fresh subtext or surprising angle on it, which is not easy to do.

Well, what does the video of him show? What did they say at Walter Reed? Do you really expect me to believe what some unreliable fake media said, when the medical records are privileged? The only way we would have close to reliable information would be what the president authorized to be released, and better yet, him on video. I haven't seen a video yet. Have you? The photos of him ‘working’ in the conference room are a joke, with the time stamps showing they were taken minutes apart in different rooms and with jacket/in shirtsleeves, etc.

Karl Marx, like any political thinker, should be read for insight rather than doctrine. As a doctrine Marxism is a dying religion that does not deserve to be taken seriously.

I believe a typical photo file has three timestmps or more. Time taken, time last accesses, and time edited, etc.

Oh good god. He's a politician doing politics. You can't even acknowledge that? (Alternatively, there were really important blank pages requiring his signature, in different outfits, while hospitalized. He must have done immeasurable good for the American people with his "work" while receiving medical care. Sounds likely.)

Communism does not prove that socialism does not work. It proves that a dictatorship is an inappropriate government for a socialist economy.

Karl Marx correctly noted that the natural tendency of capitalism is to accumulate wealth and income at the top. During the 1930's the New Deal policies of the Roosevelt administration countered this tendency. Beginning with the Reagan administration in the 1980's Republican politicians have been repealing New Deal policies. Consequently, wealth and income are again being concentrated at the top. As a result Socialism is becoming a popular aspiration.
