You may have thought the authenticity of President Obama’s birth certificate was confirmed once and for all in April. Perhaps you never questioned it. But for America’s first African-American president, incongruous questions and doubts about his citizenship, fostered by fiercely partisan politics and a hungry media culture, are still being raised.

Now, Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s “Cold Case Posse” has been ordered to investigate the authenticity of President Obama’s birth certificate at the behest of a tea party group. Arpaio became well known for his self promotion as “America’s Toughest Sheriff” and for his stance on the immigration laws in Arizona.

Ironically what the Sheriff did is however ilegal, and as a peace office who is sworn to protect and serve he has committed crime and therefore should be treated like a common criminal.

Illegal aliens are detained all the time in the US when LE does act. Glad you missed the point that MCSO arrests people for ID theft, and bye the way they are in the country illegally as a secodary offense.

I got what you were suggesting but I didn't catch that it was a joke. If Arpaio's ever had any cred with me, it's pretty much gone with that silly investigation.

Sorry you didn't catch the joke, I thought it was pretty subtle/funny. I cannot mock the Cowboys today, my Texans just got pummeled in a classic trap game and looked like ****.

I believe my facts, not yours. And the fact is that Joe is doing what Obama and his minions refuse to do...applying the law to the lawless. The "facts" you imply are pretty much poliical slander...whenever democrats don't get their way, they slander.

Sweet yea Sheriff Joe is a hard line ant immigration man (if you really believe that immigration is a problem). So your just going to ignore the rest of his crap that he has going against him? The scandals? Violations? Profiling? Unconstitutional deeds?

No, but it was written to secure against ideas like socialism and fascism. The founding fathers correctly envision populist but destructive movements, therefor, the constitution will hopefully eternally be a thorn on your side.

I've never seen a conservative suggest that the Constitution is outdated and needs to be replaced. I have seen a few left wingers say it though (although, by no means is it the majority). Just sayin'.

Not at all, it was a legit question considering the person in question. Democrat Socialism cannot exist with the Constitution.

Amazing you cannot grasp simple concepts. Let's try this SLOWER. The ideals, concepts and design of the Constitution of the United States of America, are the Antithesis of Socialism. Brevity is the soul of wit, thus my truncated commentary.

Meh... When I see republicans, they are always touting the constitution out of one side of their mouths while giving a list of amendments they'd repeal out of the other side of their mouths all while cheering a harsher authoritarian leadership that ****s on the 4th amendment and any civil liberties because "if you aren't guilty then you got nothing to worry about" kind of attitude. Or subverting the constitution with activist judges who say money is speech when every other sane person and country in the world call money in politics by it's true name. A bribe.
