I did think it was standard beef, and what is wrong with that assumption? Sounds like you are one of the people I'm talking about.
I'm glad we have Guy Incognito here to point out the obvious.
Frankly, I thought everybody knew that they use filler. It is well-known.
Not all that obvious to you and American, evidently
Why would there be a lawsuit?
I believe that the lawsuit alleges that Taco Bell wrongly labeled their products in order to mislead consumers. However, Guy Incognito has years of experience working behind the counter, so he knew that they were filling their beef with crap.
What makes it common knowledge? I just told my friends of this; we had no idea the meat might not be what Taco Bell stated.

Maybe the side affects of Taco Bell consumption could be a clue. They should place prescription labels on the bags saying "May cause diarrhea, vomiting, upset stomach, and atherosclerosis."
I seriously haven't eaten their "ground beef" in years. I don't have these problems with their chicken and bean products. Other than the bean products causing the expected.

Draco ate iguana once. There has been an infestation of iguanas in Mexico, and subsequent disappearances. He recalls a familiar flavor in his chalupa.

36%? I didn't think it was that much.Taco Bell meat? Beef, says firm. Filling, says suit. - CSMonitor.com
Say what? Taco Bell's "ground beef" filling is only 36% beef? Does knowing this make you think differently about Taco Bell?
I only eat taco bell only when I'm constipated, seems to work every time
Im not touching the stuff! Plus its not a good value. BK and McD's is far better. Subway also much better!
I did not call it Taco Hell since High School for nothing. I can't remember the last time I ate at the Hell but I'd guess it was the mid 90s.Taco Bell meat? Beef, says firm. Filling, says suit. - CSMonitor.com

**** veganism. Why did God create animals if we weren't supposed to eat them?
I agree. I really feel the FDA should be more involved in food quality. It can't be healthy for us to eat 90% of the stuff sold at fast food chains. If anything, those places should be forced to disclose the grade of their food. Lot's of places get deals on grade B and C meat, and they use that in fast food meals. However, when it comes to medications I think the FDA should be more lenient.
