What Was The Last Movie You Watched and Rate it!

I keep picturing him on the Oprah show jumping around like a monkey, and then I think of him calling Matt Lauer "glib." He just comes across as a complete pompous idiot for the most part.

yeah, with Matt that was when he first started melting down and telling Matt that he shouldn't be using drugs for mental illnesses, and that mental illnesses were made up or something, right?

Which one? The one with Mark Wahlberg, or the one with Michael Caine? I love the new version. Love it. It was my first Bluray purchase. I'd seen it probably 10 times before I bought it on Bluray, though. Great cast, great soundtrack.

Wahlberg.

Exactly. That's what Scientologists believe I guess.

Now You See Me. Completely forgetable. Best part was the song "Codec" by Zedd.

World War Z. The scenes in Jerusalem were pretty good, with molto zombies climbing over the wall. Brad Pitt was quite impressive, too.

I really like Brad Pitt. I don't care what people say about him being smelly!

First time I hear that he's smelly, perhaps he's spent too much time in France, lol. But he's a very good actor that's for sure, not just a pretty face, I don't remember him being bad in movies.

Never smelled him myself. But I agree. I just loved him in Inglourious Bastards and Fight Club too. I think he's a great and versatile actor too.

Haha, yes, he was good in them, and he looked sweaty and smelly! Or it's funny to see him being a gypsy in Snatch as well as a model for Chanel 5:lol:

The Hunger Games (7/10), definitely enjoyable but I definitely didn't enjoy the shaky-cam and quick edits used to keep it at a PG-13 rating, really takes away from the horror of the Games itself.

Oh I agree. Sadly the director tried to turn it into a "teen-bopper" movie. I gotta tell you, that movie had some potential. A movie where children are put into an arena to fight to the death? Can you say kick***? Plus it had an important political message that probably went over the heads of 95% of the people who watched that movie.

I'd never heard he was smelly, either. Hard to believe Angelina Jolie would put up with that.

I did hear that Leonardo DiCaprio stunk to high Heaven. So much so that he's had women break up with him over it. I don't remember his reasoning behind it, but it was some "Love Mother Earth" BS that is just an excuse for not using up our water sources or some silly foolishness. He can buy a .99 bar of soap and bathe in a river if he's so worried about that. There's no excuse to stink. None at all. I can't remember the last time I missed a shower. I shower daily, without fail. Can't imagine not doing it. *shudder*

Prepare to shudder then!

Yuck. How can somebody (especially a woman) not bathe for weeks? I refuse to miss a day. I wonder if the source is just someone who was fired? Sour grapes, maybe? It makes no sense, either, that their house is a mess. Don't they have housekeepers? I'm sure they would, with 6 kids. Wouldn't the housekeeper keep the house clean? I'd think that was her job.

That's troubling. Not bathing for weeks? And they're parents? If this is true, what are they teaching their children?

The last movie I watched was "Beautiful Creatures." I'd give it a grade of Z if possible.

Iron Man 3, in which Tony Stark runs around with a gun most of the movie, because that's totally what we paid to see. When the special effects budget does finally come into play we're barraged by a five minute "buy our different iron man suit action figures!" sequence in which the different suits of armor inexplicably disassemble and fly away from Stark if so much as a nerf ball hits him, to be immediately replaced by an equally crappy different suit of armor.

Like Spider Man 3 there's also a "funny" dance scene.

If it weren't for its tie-in to Avengers this would be rebooted or conveniently forgotten like Highlander 2.

Lol. That's not the only "source" though. Brad Pitt is #5, but there are a bunch of celebs on this list.

Fearless. Solid old school martial arts movie. Best to get the subtitle version if it can be helped as the awfulness of the dubbing is, sadly, also old school.

Holy smokes  Those are some pretty A-list celebrities on that list!! Man, I don't care how good somebody looks -- if they stink, that's a deal breaker. Some of them, like Viggo Mortensen, don't surprise me. I always talked about how nasty he looked in LOTR. Even in ROTK, when he was accepting his crown, his hair looked greasy and oily. I remember joking that you'd think he would have bathed for his crowning.

:lamo

Did you see Jonny Depp. Ewww. He looked absolutely disgusting.

yeah and he looks so hot. Too bad that now I have to think about the fact that he smells.

Not in that picture he doesn't.

watched a couple this weekend. Percy Jackson and the Sea of Monsters on Saturday. It was pretty good. Better than the first one IMHO. 4 out of 5 stars. "We are the Millers" on Sunday. it was freakin hilarious and the scene where Jennifer Anniston does the stripper dance was smokin hot. I acutally LOLed several times which is something I rarely do at the movies. 5 stars.

Saw Olympus has Fallen last night.
Not bad. Little to Die Hard like for me.

Gladiator Extended Edition.

Excellent although it had been so long since I had seen the theatrical edition that I couldn't tell what scenes had been added.

5 of 5.

I saw Jack Reacher and despite the odd casting, I thought it was OK.

Of you've read the series (I have), Cruise did a decent job of playing a guy twice his size. The movie was fairly faithful to the book (One Shot). The problem is that if you haven't read the books, you don't get to understand the Jack Reacher character, who is a very interesting portrait of a loner. The last few Jack Reacher books were simply awful but the earlier ones were pretty good although they are a bit heavy-handed in the coincidence department. Anyway, I gave it 4 stars and I'm not generous with rating movies.
